Oresa “Reese” Napper-Williams is the Executive Director and Visionary of Not Another Child Inc. (NAC), an advocacy organization which is continuing to impact communities of color to combat gun violence and support the grieving families. Reese’s life mission is to hand hold as many families as she can to help them through the process she calls “Good Grief”.

In this episode, I speak with Ramik Williams, the co-executive director of the KAVI, Inc. (Kings Against Violence Initiative). Ramik talks about the role of youth development and legislative advocacy to holistically address community-level violence. He informs us about the "KAVI Way," and shares his views on the importance of public policy.


Ramik Williams is the Co-Executive Director of KAVI.  Ramik is an expert, advocate, and champion in K-16 Education and Workforce & Youth Development. Ramik has dedicated his career to eliminating racial disparities in economic, educational, and health systems for communities of color. He has grounded this work by leading organizations, programs, and initiatives designed to increase the activation of and investment in oppressed communities. Prior to joining KAVI, he held executive and senior positions in philanthropic, research institutions, and service organizations. Ramik holds a B.A. in History and Secondary Education and has completed graduate work in Public Administration, Public Affairs, and Nonprofit Management.
