At 17, he was facing a minimum 13 years for gun and narcotics charges when the Judge sentenced him to 3 years probation. Booker found his second chance in turning pro. This past April, Booker won his 20th pro fight to bring The WBC US Title Belt back home to Samford. He continues to mentor at risk youth through his Foundation, Go The Distance, and is a fixture with youth and gun violence programs throughout the area. In 2022, Booker's impact was recognized and rewarded with a Full Pardon.

Despite being unretained in the following year, Glo found a home when Dallas selected him with the first pick of the second round in the 2023 NBA 2KL draft. This past off-season, Glo competed at the UPA Regionals in Dallas for the pro-am team Undisputed , which featured four other 2K League players including Streetz of NetsGC.

Scott Cole came to a crossroad in 2015.

Either keep his six-figure job as a Creative Director for Fortune 50 brands or chase his dream of being a broadcaster through a new opportunity provided by the NFL Network.

So Scott would leave his cushy job and take the eighty-percent pay cut with no guarantees to join the NFL Network on a new show called Madden NFL Live with Maurice Jones Drew and Adam Rank.

This would jumpstart a career that Scott thought was long behind him as the show would become the most watched show on the network on Saturdays in the 2015-2016 NFL season.

Known as the “Jim Nantz” of esports, Scott is very versatile.  Scott is the only personality that works with both EA Sports and 2K. He is also the only American play-by-play voice in the world of FIFA esports.

Scott has a background in motorsports including the play-by-play voice for LeMans esports in France and has also helped launch NASCAR’s esports league.

Scott started his broadcasting career in 1997 with the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars while being the voice of the John Brown Golden Eagles from 1997-2001 for all their sports programs.

Scott left the broadcasting world in 2002 to pursue the creative digital space and would create award winning creative for Fortune 50 brands from American Airlines to Verizon.

Scott would come back to broadcasting in 2015 while being discovered by the NFL Network for his content creation on both Twitch and YouTube in 2015. While he was also calling basketball, baseball, soccer and football for the Southern Conference on ESPN3.

Scott would go on to host his own radio show called The Scott Cole Show on WCCP in Clemson, SC. Scott was also one of the hosts for the pregame show for Clemson Football during their 2016 Championship run on the Clemson Sports Network of radio stations.

Scott left radio for his podcast which debuted in 2016 was named an editor’s choice for new and noteworthy and had over a million plays over the 42 episodes with guests from rookies to hall of famers.

Scott has also continued to work with brands as he hosted the red carpet for Nissan in their sponsorship of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.  He also helped AMC launch their premiere of Fear of the Walking Dead.

In the world of broadcasting, Scott Cole has called football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse and motorsports.

In the world of esports, Scott Cole has called Madden, NBA, FIFA, Rocket League, Forza Motorsport, Counter Strike, Call of Duty, Halo, PUBG, NASCAR Heat, Pro Evolution Soccer and more.

Millions of viewers have heard Scott’s play-by-play on ESPN, NBA TV, TBS, TNT and the CW with having four of the top ten viewed esports broadcasts on TV in 2019. Tens of thousands of followers and subscribers. Scott has a major influence in the 18-34 year old demographic.

Scott can currently be found as the play-by-play personality of Madden NFL, FIFA Eleague on TBS and NBA esports.

Albano Thomallari aka Fab played in the first four seasons of the NBA 2K League. While his story as a pro game has been put on pause, he’ll always be an important part of the league’s history. During the season one draft, Fab was taken with the second overall pick by Celtics Crossover Gaming. His most memorable run was during his second year, during which he averaged 22.3 points and 12.5 assists. That season, he was also one of five MVP finalists and led Boston to its first playoff appearance. In November of 2020, Fab was traded in a blockbuster deal to Cavs Legion GC for a pair of first round picks. During his lone season in Cleveland, he was fifth in the league in scoring, scoring nearly 30 points a game, and was also top 10 in assists with 10.3 a game. Most recently, Fab has been dedicated to his YouTube channel and creating content.

Selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NBA 2K League draft by Mavs Gaming, Peter Malin aka PeteBeBallin would go onto play 2k professionally for three years. He was named to the 2019 All-Rookie team and played two full seasons for Dallas, developing a reputation for winning and his two-way play. Despite averaging a double-double and nearly three blocks in his sophomore season, he was traded to Hornets Venom GT. In what ultimately was his final year as a pro, Pete again averaged a double-double and helped lead Charlotte to its most successful season. Over the course of his career, he accumulated a 41-19 regular season record and never missed the playoffs. Pete is a Long Island native and before he got drafted to the league, he was attending the University at Albany where he studied Business Marketing. He played basketball throughout high school.

Demar Butler aka Deedz is a former professional NBA 2K player from Spotsylvania, Virginia. In the NBA 2K League’s first-ever season back in 2018, he was taken with the 37th overall pick by Jazz Gaming. He would play in Utah for two seasons before going unretained headed into the 2020 draft. With back-to-back selections in the third-round, Heat Check Gaming would use one of those picks on Deedz, ultimately making Miami his new home for two more seasons. Deedz is now officially retired from the NBA 2K League, but he will always be remembered for being one of the OGs of the community. His prowess and flexibility on the court is a testament to the hard he would put in, and clearly explains how he carved out a four-year career. One of his proudest moments was when he received a medal from the navy for four years of service. He is an avid fan of the Boston Celtics and Baltimore Ravens.

Jonathan Fields has always been a man of many talents, even well before he joined the NBA 2K League’s broadcast team. Though he is best known by his gamertag Demon JT, he went by the alias of Fresh Prince JT when he was drafted by Wizards District Gaming with the 12th overall pick in Season One of the NBA 2K League. Two years later, he found a new home when he was traded to Pistons GT. In his lone season with Detroit, he averaged 16.3 points, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals, while shooting 49 percent from the field. While Demon JT currently does not play in the NBA 2K League, he is determined to eventually make his way back. Until then, he has submerged himself in the community in various ways. He was on the league broadcast this season for the first ever 2K League 3v3 tournament and can be commonly found in community spaces on Twitter. He also competed in the UPA World Championship in Vegas for SJ Esports, this time playing lock and once again proving to the world that there’s more to Jonathan Fields than meets the eye.

With Minnesota, he has accumulated a 29-15 record over the last two years and finished first in the Western Conference regular season standings last season. Using his magnetic charisma, Bear has also elevated his content and media presence. Engaging tips videos and innovating concepts like his “Da Bears” series has grown his YouTube channel to over 15,000 subscribers and a Twitch partnership with nearly 18,000 followers. Whether he’s appearing on the NBA 2K League playoff broadcast as an analyst or taking over the league’s Twitch channel with his own show, Bear’s comfort in front of the camera couldn’t be anymore obvious.

Nathaniel Kahl aka NateKahl will always be considered one of the founding legends of the NBA 2K League. After being selected 26 th overall in the 2018 draft, Nate helped Knicks Gaming claim the league’s first ever championship. His defensive brilliance against the 5-out attack of Heat Check Gaming resulted in him taking finals MVP honors. Unlike some of his season one peers, Nate’s longevity is evident, having remained in the league and loading up for NetsGC and Pacers Gaming in previous years. The Wisconsin native returned back to New York this past season and averaged 8.9 points, 1.3 assists, 1.6 steals, while shooting 62 percent from the field and 51 percent from deep. Knicks Gaming finished 14-14 and was eliminated in the Eastern Conference semi-finals by Wizards DG. The organization has made the playoffs every season NateKahl has played for them.

Jack Mascone, more prominently known as JBM shocked the NBA 2K community when he recently announced his retirement, but he leaves the competitive scene at the top of the mountain. In his rookie season with Wizards DG, we saw him elevate his game in the playoffs and ultimately saving his best for last, dropping 46 points in the championship clinching game. This past season, he averaged 22.7 points and 11.3 assists in the finals, earning himself finals MVP. JBM was also recognized for his elite regular season play and was named to the All-NBA 2K League Second Team and was voted onto the Eastern Conference All-Star roster. Outside of the 2K League, his accomplishments also include representing Team USA and being named MVP of the FIBA Esports Open North and Central America Conference.

Rigby Burnett Jr. aka Rigby was selected by Hornets Venom GT with the 8th overall pick of the 2021 NBA 2K League draft. In his rookie year, he averaged 22.8 points and 5.4 assists despite sharing backcourt duties with veteran point guard Sherm. Rigby made headlines when he led Hornets Venom to a banner in THE TURN and ultimately winning tournament MVP, the first ever rookie to do so. Along with fellow rookie teammate Crown, Rigby was awarded one of five spots on the NBA 2K League All-Rookie team. He was also one of two rookies to play in the league’s historic and inaugural All-Star game. Most recently, Rigby and his pro-am team No Tolerance won the UPA 15K Fall Series, an in-person LAN event held in Dallas. Not by surprise, he was named tournament MVP for that as well.
