Judah Agbonkhina is an Activist, Actor, Multimedia Journalist, and Film Maker out of the Dallas, TX, area. He has trained extensively in the arts since elementary school, attending several art schools throughout his education, including W.E. Greiner for the Performing and Visual Arts and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Judah began his activism when he joined the United States Army in 2008. After serving for four years, he left the military and decided to continue serving his community, eventually creating Suits For Judah. Suits For Judah is a 501(C)(3) Nonprofit Charity Organization dedicated to changing the mindsets and lives of young urban Americans through Mentorship, Exposure, Entrepreneurship, and Empowerment.

For his work in the community, Judah was awarded the Not My Son "Community Humanitarian Award 2021". In 2021 Suits For Judah helped create and release a documentary called 'Sandbranch: The Texas Town With No Running Water' on Sandbranch, TX, a Texas "Freedmans" Town 15 minutes outside of Dallas that has no running water. In August of 2022, Judah was appointed the position of Director of Documentaries for DTRTV, a television station streaming on Roku and Amazon FireTV. In September of 2022 Judah was appointed the position of Multimedia Journalist with Dallas Free Press. Judah is a Lead Teacher with 2 Inspire Peace Inc. Where he is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid.

The author of the book, “Trapped”, Theresa Dorsey, joins Arnya and Fancy to discuss the inspiration behind the book.

There’s new Black-owned tech coming to mental health for the Black community in Spring 2023.

Aries Spears makes the news again, but this time with Tiffany Haddish. The two became a hot topic online after video footage of a skit the two did. The skit entitled “Through the Eyes of a Pedophile” caused quite a stir, from its lack of humor to its simply being cringe (as the young kids say).

Haddish released a statement apologizing and saying she regrets doing the skit, which is seven or eight-years-old.

About Darryl Perry

Darryl Perry is a Big and Tall model, actor  and singer from Dayton, Ohio. Standing at 6’ 7”, “larger than life” is the best way to describe his huge presence and personality. As one of four children born to music-loving parents, Darryl has always had a strong connection to the arts, especially music and film.

Even with a passion for arts, growing up was tough. Darryl was always bigger than his peers and often got made fun of by them, leading to serious body image issues and a lack of self-confidence that plagued him all the way through his early twenties.

Niki Powell-Cottman, is a woman of God, wife, mother, grandmother, mental health leading light, author, coach, mentor and transformational speaker. She is impacting lives globally with her mental health magazine, RallyUp, while leading the movement #rallyup2savelives to normalize mental health and end suicide. With over a decade of education, training, and work experience in the mental health field, as well as her own life experiences, Niki is strengthening families by cultivating hope from within, hoping to keep other parents from experiencing the pain she felt watching her child fight for her life after several attempts of suicide.

Her fight for her daughter birthed We Fight Foundation Inc., fighting alongside her daughter, other youth and young adults who have mental illnesses, as well as other parents/caregivers, helping them develop safe spaces for them to work through life challenges and normal stressors that can cause mental stress. Niki’s hope is to reduce risky behaviors like, self-harm, self-medicating or sadly suicide.

Niki's life was not a cakewalk. She did not allow childhood abuse, teen pregnancy, domestic violence, caring for a mentally ill teen or divorce to stop her! She went from brokenness, shamefulness, helplessness and hopelessness, to a prayer warrior and intercessor carrying out her purpose while transforming lives. Niki and her daughter continue to live by their motto, “I Fight, You Fight, We Fight Together!”

Arnya shares her experience with her primary physician, and what sparked the question.
