Episode 12 - Brad Smeele
Brad Smeele is a professional wakeboarder from New Zealand. After leaving home at 17 to pursue his dream of wakeboarding, Brad made a name for himself in the sport after claiming 2 junior world titles and being one of the first to land a 1080 behind the boat. Most will know Brad for being the first person in the world to land the double tantrum to blind and winning the 2014 trick of the year.
Whilst filming for "Prime" during a session at Lake Ronix, Brad took a bad crash trying the double to blind which left him without the use of his arms and legs.
It was an honour to be able to have the opportunity to talk with Brad about how he dealt with the life changing result of the injury, overcoming some of the obstacles he faced and how he is now living life to the fullest despite his injury. We hope you enjoy this episode.

Episode 11 - CK Koester
CK Koester - a man who has played a lot of different roles throughout our wakeboarding career. CK has been the Pro we looked up to when we were younger, a coach and a mentor to us in our journey through the sport. Over the years we've travelled to a whole bunch of different countries with CK and made some unforgettable memories along the way.
We were stoked to sit down and catch up with our good friend to hear a little bit more about how he has been involved in wakeboarding and to reminisce on some good times 🍻

Episode 10 - John Dreiling
John Dreiling
Known by most for his full send attitude in the wakeboarding world John Dreiling is a force to be reckoned with. Recently crowned Alliance’s 2020 Charge-A-Holic there’s no doubt that John does some crazy shit on a wakeboard.
We were lucky enough to meet John at Plastic Playground in 2015 - and he’s been one of our closest friends ever since. Over the years we have known John, he is by far one of the most hard working wakeboarders, who is committed to growing the sport in whatever ways he can. We were stoked to sit down with John and talk all things from overcoming fear to some pretty wild stories of trips away. We hope you enjoy this one!

Episode 9 - Matt Crowhurst
Matt Crowhurst - A man who's roots lay deep within the sport of wakeboarding. Matt first began competing as a traditional event skier and through this background in skiing, Matt met some friends who introduced him into the sport which would shape the rest of his life. The following years would include competing in the several different European tours and was quickly picked up by a range of different sponsors. Over the years Matt has made a name for himself not only through his wakeboarding but also the multitude of roles he has played in the sport. Matt has played a huge variety of different roles in the sport, but will be known by most for his incredible ability to captivate and engage large audiences through a microphone. Starting out commentating on wakeboard events Matt now finds himself hosting some huge shows such as the Bowlesworth equestrian shows and the ArenaCross tour. It was great to be able to sit down with Matt and have a chat about his history in the sport and where he thinks the sport is heading!
Episode 8 - Mantis Pro Media
Meet Jon Shrimpton and Sam Pascal - the duo you can find behind the lenses of Mantis Pro Media.
Jon and Sam first met at Liverpool Wakepark where the realised they shared a passion for creating content. After a few minor hiccups such as flipping a jetski whilst holding their equipment at their first shoot, Mantis were able to carve their name into the content creation world, shooting stunning photographic and video content. “It’s just two brothers really” was the first video project we shot with Mantis at the end of 2016 - and whilst the video was a success; we had a couple of major injuries on the side. Our relationship with Mantis has gone from strength to strength from then - and without them a lot of what we have accomplished would not have been possible. We were stoked to have the boys join us on the Podcast and we hope you enjoy listening too.
Episode 7 - Lemonade Normal 🍋
Unless you've been living under a rock you will have probably seen some of the insane content on Instagram being created by the crew that is Lemonade Normal.
A crew made up of 4 people: Liam Rundholz, Gino Wetzels, Sam De Haan & Christopher Klein, Lemonade Normal have been getting out on the water and getting those close up follow cam shots that we all need in our life. Growing up wakeboarding together, filming one another was a big part of their paths to success. In November 2019, the boys decided to start "Lemonade Normal" with the goal of filming and posting regular, high quality wakeboarding content. As can be seen in their recent "Season 1" video on YouTube the content has been nothing short of amazing from the start. Liam and I were stoked to welcome Liam & Gino on the podcast to answer some questions we'd been dying to ask them:
- Where did the name "Lemonade Normal" come from?
- How did you get those insane winching shots?
- What are the next big projects you want to work on?
Instagram: 't already, make sure to give Lemonade Normal a follow! We promise you, you won't regret it.
