The Power Entrepreneur's Podcast

The Human Algorithm with Maceo Jourdan
Maceo Jourdan is a serial entrepreneur with two decades of building businesses by creating great products and great marketing. His experience spans a wildly eclectic mix of practical real-world experience, from the US Army to the cut-throat world of electronic trading. A pioneer in computerized trading, Maceo built one of the earliest high-frequency trading systems for the S&P 500. When "pay per click"  marketing platforms burst on the scene he translated his work into massively successful automated systems for Google and, later, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Maceo's expertise fits a wide range of audience interests from predicting future trends, growing and scaling businesses, how to get your company acquired and not get taken to the cleaners, as well as marketing for the solo entrepreneur or the $100 million+ Goliath. He's coached and taught individuals and groups for over 30 years and has a knack for making complicated things simple through storytelling. You Can Negotiate Anything - Part 2 with Herb Cohen
For more than three decades, this legend has been a practicing negotiator, intimately involved in some of the world’s headline dramas from hostile takeovers to hostage negotiations. Larry King, who grew up with him, has written stories describing his negotiating skills even as a child. His clients have included business executives, entrepreneurs, sports and entertainment agents, even government agencies, including the Department of State, FBI, CIA, and the US Department of Justice. In 1980, he was dubbed "The World's Best Negotiator" by Playboy magazine. In 1981, Time Magazine said "If you are ever in a crucial life-changing negotiation, the person you want on your side of the table is Herb Cohen." It's around that time that President Carter's administration called on Herb Cohen to help get our fifty-two hostages back from Iran, which he did, even famously predicting the release of the hostages almost to the exact hour. In 1995, Publisher's Weekly stated that Herb's book "You Can Negotiate Anything" was the fifth-bestselling audiobook of all time. It was an absolute honor sitting down with Herb Cohen on The Power Entrepreneur to bring you what will very likely be the last interview with the legend himself. This interview is a bit longer than usual, so we split it into 2 parts. This is part 2 of the interview. Click here to listen to part 1. The Personal Side Of Business with Jonah Halper
After working for a decade in the Jewish Federation system, where he organized community-wide philanthropic events that brought close to 600 hinder volunteers on a weekly basis and over 1.2 million dollars for the Annual Campaign, Jonah Halper launched his fundraising and marketing consulting firm, ALTRUICITY and currently serves as Managing Director. His extensive experience in community involvement and fundraising millions for various organizations propelled Jonah to publicly speak around the United States. Due to the wild success of his speeches and accomplishments, Jonah decided to compile his ideas in a book called 'Date your Donors'. The average person knows how to “sell” themselves in their personal and/or professional lives, and fundraising is about developing a substantive relationship, and not simply “dialing for dollars.” This easily translates into various areas of business, making the book a fantastic read, regardless of your industry.
