She is the Executive Director as well as the Co-Founder of Reclaim611. Paula is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor with over 10 years of experience in Mental Health. They unite with the same heart and passion to help those who have been enslaved to this nefarious crime of human trafficking. Through this podcast, they want to enlighten those who have similar passions about rescuing other from human trafficking.

Ep. 38 Carrie & Paula reunite and discuss online victimization with Survivor Emilee

In this episode, Carrie & Paula reunite after a nearly 2 year absence. Carrie introduces the listeners to Emilee, who happens to be a relative. Emilee shares her story of being deceived when she was 15 years old by an online predator. Emilee gives insight into the innocence of teenagers, but also the desire for love and belongingness. Emilee then shares how her mistake saved her life. Emilee advocates for parents to dive deeper than the perceived problem behavior and resist the urge to fuss at your teenager. Emilee encourages parents to take a different approach when problematic sexual behaviors are revealed to the parents.

Emilee also shares her brave journey to fight for justice so that her perpetrator would not have the opportunity to do the same thing to other underage children.
