Christianity and Mental Health
In today's episode, I discuss what I think are important components to fostering mental health. These include:
community, practicing gratitude, holding to truth, self compassion and self care, and rest
I also share that there is no shame in asking for professional help as well as considering medications with the help of a doctor/psychiatrist for your mental struggle.
Friend, you are Beloved. Jesus sees you, knows you, loves you, and cares so deeply for you. He is familiar with our suffering, as He suffered Himself. He wants to know you on a personal level. I ecnourage you to come to Him with everything you are burdened with and lay it at His feet. He died for you. He is capable of holding it all, holding you. He is with you always.
I hope this episode encouraged you! If you have any thoughts or questions or ideas for future podcast episodes, feel free to message me on Instagram @therenewpodcast !
I hope to see you next time!
