Self Care
Taylor teaches on what self care looks like while Brandon gets some misconceptions cleared up!
Why Storytelling?
In this episode, we forgot that we had a more in-depth conversation about storytelling a few months ago, so we dug deep into why storytelling matters at a personal level, with some real examples from our work!
Boundaries
Boundaries are incredibly important. They keep us safe. They are also something that we can bend or break if we aren’t careful. This month, Brandon & Taylor talk about what boundaries are, what they look like for them, and how boundaries have been important to their lives.
The Big Tasty
This episode is quite a bit different from what we normally do. To honor the fact that finally, finally community events are back, The Rounds is sharing audio from the May 26. 2022 Guts & Glory storytelling event “The Big Tasty.” Taylor runs Guts & Glory (and MC’ed this event) and Brandon shared a story as part of it. Enjoy this amazing collection of stories from Gainesville community members!

Storytelling
Taylor and Brandon are both story experts. Taylor runs Guts & Glory GNV, and Brandon cofounded Self Narrate. They connected through doing storytelling work. And yet, they realized they hadn’t done an episode of this podcast on storytelling yet! Time to rectify that. Taylor and Brandon talk about some of the benefits of storytelling and provide some practical approaches to writing and sharing storytelling from their work experience.
Resilience
Things have been real in 2022 already. Real stressful. Taylor and Brandon talk about what resilience is and what it means to them. If you’ve been curious how to enhance resilience in your life, give this a listen!
Public Speaking Beyond The Words
This month, we’re talking all about Taylor’s new book, Beyond The Words. In Beyond the Words, Taylor reframes how readers view public speaking, offers solutions to fear-induced anxiety, and refocuses readers on the ultimate goal: human connection. Whether speaking to a full auditorium, a boardroom, or an attractive date across the table, readers are given the tools to find their voice, better present themselves, and effectively communicate and connect with others.

Occupations Part 2
Our conversation with Lindsey Telg was just too good to contain to one episode, so we brought her back to have a more in-depth discussion about the things we do and how they shape us. Lindsey guides us through how to apply these concepts to the workplace and beyond! Lindsey is an occupational therapist in Gainesville, Florida. Learn more about Lindsey’s work at https://www.otgainesville.org/
Occupations
How do you spend your time? Does what you do actually reflect what you care about? How can you change things in your life? These are questions that our first-ever guest, Lindsey Telg, explores with us. Lindsey is an occupational therapist in Gainesville, Florida and she shares with us what her work actually is and how you can enhance your life through mindfully considering your various occupations. And yes, some unexpected therapizing goes down. Learn more about Lindsey’s work at https://www.otgainesville.org/
On Connection
Brandon & Taylor discuss the book On Connection by Kae Tempest. This book, published in 2020, speaks directly to our times and provides a launchpad for in depth conversations about connection, creativity, and community.
Grief
Grief is a very normal and common emotion, but it is largely misunderstood. After the global experience of Covid-19, it’s a safe assumption that everyone has experienced some form of grief: the loss of a loved one or their own health, a loss of identity, time, certainty, safety, etc. Grief is exceptionally common right now, but most people are unaware, or unable to identify the emotion. Taylor and Brandon explore what grief really is and provide frameworks to walk through the process.
Identity Capital
How do we build the life we want to live? By investing in the things we care about! This month, Brandon & Taylor explore the fascinating and life-changing concept of Identity Capital.
Abundance & Scarcity Mindset
Join Brandon & Taylor in this inaugural episode of The Rounds as they explore the concepts of Abundance and Scarcity Mindset. Learn how to tap into a better way to live and see the world through this conversation.
