The S.A.N.E. Project

By D.B. Marshall

Hi, I'm D.B. Marshall, a wellness coach who enjoys empowering and inspiring people to live positively with positivity. The S.A.N.E. Project understands that our journeys experience adversity on all human levels. However, we must use them to help transform and elevate us to a higher level of self-awareness. S.A.N.E. explores modern-day topics to increase self-awareness and bridge cultural gaps with wellness in the hope of normalizing real-life experiences by dialoguing with individuals worldwide. Every race, color, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, etc. is welcome.

Death & Loss (Part:1) A Black LBGTQ+ Male Perspective

Death & Loss (Part:1) A Black LBGTQ+ Male Perspective

We find that some conversation topics are easier to discuss, but death is usually not one of them. I hope our conversation normalizes and encourages you to talk about what is inevitable. Remember that life happens before our physical death, and earthly and spiritual deaths manifest themselves in phases and milestones. Also, visit our website at www.lovespursuitatl.net and listen to D.B. Marshall on the WERUradio.com for Wellness Wednesday from 7 am to 8 am EDT - The Urban Sound of Pride.

Dissecting Emotional Reaction (Kirk Franklin & Son)

Dissecting Emotional Reaction (Kirk Franklin & Son)

Sometimes our emotions can get the best of us. An emotion is a complex psychological state that involves a subjective experience, a physiological response, and a behavioral or expressive response. When we heard Kirk Franklin's leak audio, we can identify 2 of the 3 components but can only imagine what was his physical response on the other side of the phone. ONLY GOD KNOWS. Today, the panel dives deep into the water, discusses similar situations they encountered, and offers alternative solutions to promote healthier responses and decrease emotional reactions.

LBGT Battle with COVID-19

LBGT Battle with COVID-19

LGBT individuals have a different perspective on some aspects of the pandemic than non-LGBT people, including the media’s portrayal and their own level of safety and concern. They also have different views on COVID-19 risk mitigation efforts. One-third (34%) of LGBT adults say the news has generally underestimated the seriousness of the pandemic (compared to 23% of non-LGBT adults). Therefore, we bring you real-life situations that impacted two of our LGBT co-hosts’ emotional and mental health. Visit our website at www.lovespursuitatl.net and listen to D.B. Marshall on the WERUradio.com for Wellness Wednesday from 7 am to 8 am EDT - The Urban Sound of Pride.

Derrick Jaxn's Infidelity, Marriage, Dishonesty, and Self-Awareness from a Rainbow Perspective

Four LBGTQ African American males discuss Derrick Jaxn's infidelity, marriage, dishonesty, and self-awareness from a rainbow perspective. "My mother, in raising my three siblings and me, imbued us with self-awareness; that way, we can be honest with ourselves as much as possible, and therefore extend the same grace to others." This excerpt is from my book titled Love's Pursuit: Journey to Wellness. Order at www.lovespursuitatl.net and enter the discount code: SANE to receive a 10 % discount and two gifts.

Polygender, Disabilities, and Mental Health w/ Paint.Gay

The S.A.N.E Project interviews Paint.Gay. Paint Fremmerlid grew up in a small Northern Alberta community in Canada before moving to Edmonton when he was 16. He completed most of he/him/his undergraduate degree in Disability Studies before experiencing a psychosis and embarking on a turbulent journey navigating disability, mental illness, and occupational wellness before reaching a state of complete burnout in 2019. He has since been diagnosed with a hypermobility disability and is coming to terms with living on the neurodivergent spectrum. He has survived a near-death sexual assault, medical gaslighting and has fought to be understood, speak his truth, and is on a continuous journey of growth and healing.
