What does it REALLY mean when things seem to be going well with the narcissist in your life?

What does it REALLY mean when things seem to be going well with the narcissist in your life?

This is the cycle that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend! 🙃

Don’t be fooled by the love bombing! The narcissist has conditioned you to accept their behaviour as “normal” so the cycle can continue on as long as possible. In this episode, I talk about what's really going on when things are going well with the narcissist in your life. It's really just another manipulation tactic to keep the cycle of abuse alive and well.

You can’t change the narcissist, the only thing you can control is how you react. No reaction is the goal, but it’s hard when your emotions are bamboozled all over the place and the narcissist is trying to provoke you. It’s important to see through the manipulation tactics, take your emotions out of it, and make the logical choice rather than the emotional choice you’re being manipulated with.

Doing the inner work in baby steps is how you master this. One day at a time. Journaling is a great and free way to start doing the work!

🚨📣But if you’re looking for a supportive community with resources, guidance from a trauma informed coach with decades of lived experience who did the work, made it to the other side, and has worked with hundreds of survivors (hint: that’s me!!😆), courses, at an affordable price point, I invite you to join my new community membership! Interview with Laura DiBenedetto author of The Six Habits

Interview with Laura DiBenedetto author of The Six Habits

TEDx Speaker, #1 Bestselling author of The Six Habits and Life Mastery Coach, Laura DiBenedetto teaches how to create the life of our dreams without sacrificing what we love. Laura is the founder and CEO of the award-winning marketing company, Vision Advertising, located in the greater Boston area. Laura created, built and ran the growth-oriented enterprise for 19 years with tremendous success, before retiring from active involvement in 2018 at age 37, passing the reins to her successor. Over the years, Laura personally sold several million dollars in ongoing contracts, was featured on Fox News and other Boston programming several times, was publicly recognized for business accomplishments, and was named a 40 Under Forty winner at only age 23.

Having started her first business at 19, Laura began to search for her next big project in 2012, finally finding it right on the cusp of retirement. While Laura’s career had been speckled with accomplishments and accolades, when she retired, she was simply burnt out and unhappy. After years of classes, workshops, books, and more, Laura was confused and wondering why the personal development world had let her down and sought to solve the problem. She went on a radical journey of self-discovery, research, and testing, determined to find energy and lasting, fulfilling happiness in all areas of life.

Laura found the answers to the question that plagued her (and so many of us) – six of them, in fact. She is devoted to sharing the universally applicable and deeply liberating truths she discovered, so that others may find their own path out of misery and into lasting, fulfilling happiness and limitless possibility.

Laura moved away from Boston in 2019 to the island of Maui, Hawaii and lives in tropical bliss with her husband, cats and dog.

Interview with my friend Nat on her divorce from a narcissist

Interview with my friend Nat on her divorce from a narcissist

This episode is an interview I did with my good friend Nat! She shares her story about being married to a narcissist for 2 years. She had no idea her ex husband was a narc until they were in the process of divorcing. The signs were there, which she talks about, but when you are in the bubble of the relationshit the signs can be very easily missed. She also offers hope to anyone who is currently struggling with a breakup or divorce (or upcoming breakup or divorce) from a narcissist that it is absolutely possible to find love with a normal person who is not a narcissist once you take some time to yourself and do some healing. You are not doomed to repeat the pattern forever!

Interview with Beatrice Kamau - Inner Child Healing Coach

Interview with Beatrice Kamau - Inner Child Healing Coach

I had a great podcast interview with Beatrice Kamau! We discussed healing from narcissistic abuse, self love, and embodying what it means to heal.

Beatrice Kamau is what she likes to call a Registered Dietitian by trade and an inner child healing coach by vocation- she chose one, and the other chose her. She spent most of her life living passively, letting life happen to her as opposed to letting life happen through and for her.

Beatrice lived at the mercy of what other people thought about her, she was codependent on nearly everyone that walked into my life, she had no self esteem, and she was terrified of making mistakes. It was only during a very low point she experienced during grad school where she asked herself, “Where does your need for perfectionism come from?”. You see, this was a critical moment for her. For the first time in her life, she asked herself about the origins of my behaviour instead of  blaming herself for them.

That was the beginning of her self awareness, her transformation, her healing from inner child wounds & codependency, and her deep and unconditional love for herself. From that moment on, Beatrice realized the woman she was always searching for, the woman she had always wished to become was always within. She just had to dig in and find her- and free her. Now, she wants to help you do the same. Beatrice's deepest hope for you is that you find the truth of who you are and that you find restoration and deep healing from your inner child wounds.

Interview with country singer Emily Daniels

Interview with country singer Emily Daniels

I had an amazing conversation with country singer Emily Daniels about her new song My Last Name. She was inspired to write the song after changing her last name to honour her stepfather after she had cut ties with her biological father. She is extremely talented and the song absolutely hits home for anyone in the adult children of narcissistic parents community. I hope you enjoy our interview, and whether you like country music or not - listen to her song! It's absolutely amazing! The lyrics are so spot on and I am sure so many people will be able to relate to her profound words. Nashville native Emily Daniels has the charm of the girl next door, fashion sense of a personal stylist, and the determination of an entrepreneur. Her witty and honest lyrics are perfectly blended with heartfelt, pitch-perfect, and infectious melodies. It’s a little Shania Twain sass with a dash of Maddie & Tae sweetness that will leave you humming all week long. Her music is as head-turning as her signature red outfits. A trained vocalist, Emily has studied with A-List Vocal Coach Renee Grant-Willams (Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill). She sites artists like Ben Rector & Tori Kelly as inspirations lyrically and melodically. She has been awarded high praise from CMT, Opry Radio, BMI, NSAI, and others. Emily is a regular featured artist / writer at Nashville staples including Listening Room, City Winery, The Original Tin Roof, Ole Red, Belcourt Taps, and Alley Taps. Emily has built strategic brand partnerships with Cracker Barrel, the Green Hills mall, local boutique Jondie, Le Grand Verre Wines and Molly Green. She also models for Nashville favorites like The Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Wildhorse Saloon, and Ole Red. Be sure to follow Emily for updates on new music, shows, and more! Feeling guilty after setting a boundary? Listen to this!

Feeling guilty after setting a boundary? Listen to this!

This is the audio from a livestream I did on Instagram recently.

In this live I speak about how it’s normal to feel guilty after setting boundaries. It literally means you’re human. It doesn’t mean you made a mistake or you’re wrong or a horrible person or whatever. It literally means you are considering the other persons feelings - so congrats you are not a narcissist or sociopath 😊

In this audio I discuss what to do with that feeling of guilt.

Also remember: a healthy person will have no issue with you setting a boundary. A toxic or narcissistic person will. Your clue is the reaction to you setting a boundary. A negative reaction is a sign that this boundary should’ve been set yesterday and that you’re dealing with a selfish, toxic person and you don’t need to keep people like that in your life (even if it’s family)!

Interview with Mindbody Mentor Ann Seagraves

Interview with Mindbody Mentor Ann Seagraves

This episode is a great interview I had with Mindbody Mentor Ann Seagraves. Ann has her own TMS story of overcoming vertigo, CFS, histamine intolerance and more using Sarno's mindbody principles.

Hi Adriana! Please disregard the previous bio. I'm re-wrote it in the 3rd person and added some of my story and background.

Your interview with Page was SO good!! 🙂

Ann supports women over 40 who find themselves stuck in a state of chronic illness or pain: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Histamine Intolerance, Fibromyalgia, or ANY chronic symptom that conventional healthcare has not been able to help them with. She helps them heal with the power that already resides within them.
For most of her life, Ann felt like she was on a never-ending rollercoaster of dis-ease, so when she finally got off that ride, she realized that she really could’ve gotten off SO much sooner, which is why she now teaches what she’s embodied and integrated to women who feel like they are on that same ride.
Her background is in healthcare and education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and has worked within the healthcare system in both Exercise Physiology and Physical Therapy. She home-schooled her two children and has worked as an educator in the public school system as well.
Over the past four years, she has invested heavily in her own training and self-development and has also studied under Katelyn Michals, L.Ac. (Mindbody Mastery Podcast, Awaken the Alchemist, Soul-Level Mentors) and Christy Whitman (Quantum Success Coaching Academy).
