The hits keep rolling in the sharing economy as another company files for their IPO. In this episode, we are talking about WeWork, the co-working giant valued at over $40 Billion. Jake and Dario talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly about the filings as well as their thoughts on the business. We have hit a HUGE milestone in the podcast - 10 episodes!! Well not that big of a milestone, but celebrate the small wins. In this episode, we take on the topic that supporits this entire podcast; The Sharing Economy. We have gotten lots of questions ("Lots" is relative**) about what exactly the sharing economy or who it serves. Dario and I share our thoughts about the sharing economy and our definition of the space. We take on a new format of Dario vs. Jake as we have differing opinions about our definitions of the sharing economy. Difference aside, the definitions has grown and is growing as the space does the same. Excited to see where it continues to go in the future! 

In this episode, Dario and I take on food delivery company DoorDash. Door Dash has seen HUGE growth over the past six years and is a leader in the space. That is not to say it is without its own controversies and troubles which we cover in the episode. We give some background on the company as well as our thoughts, good and bad, about the company, industry as well as some fun anecdotes during this casual, late night recording! 

Welcoming back The Status Quo after a short break! We are excited to give an update on the new business we have been working on and seeing some great early success in this sharing economy business. Dario & I dive into how we got started with CLTRides and how we leverage the success of apps such as Turo and Hyrecar to build a car rental business! We talk about everything from what sort of cars we have to where we see this business growing to here in Charlotte. Never thought we would be exploring car rentals, but anything is possible in the new sharing economy. 

Uber, one of the most anticipated start-up unicorn IPO in recent history, goes public and much excitement and questions surrounds this event. Jake and Dario give their two cents on Uber and how their IPO will compare to the recent Lyft IPO. Will the public markets accept another sharing economy business and can they get to profitability within the near future? Riding sharing companies also face a "striking" labor (capital) force who are fighting for better pay and treatment from a company set to make millions by going public. **Editor's Note: Recording took place on 5/8/19, Uber went public on 5/10/19, and the podcast is airing on 5/14/19. Uber's stock has seen significant drop in share price from it's IPO and from subsequent market closings.
