Darren Flowers is currently the Head Cross Country and Track & Field at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Before UTRGV Darren was the Head Coach at DII powerhouse West Texas A&M but it used to not be like that until Coach Flowers arrived on campus. In a relative short time he took a brand new program to the pinnacle of winning a NCAA Track and Field National Championship. What people may not know about Darren that he is a very accomplished musician and now you can add author to the list. Take a listen!
Matt is a professional ultra-marathon runner and is currently sponsored by Nike. In 2019 Matt finished 4th at the legendary Western States 100m in his debut. Matt is also a three time member for Team USA at the World Mountain Running Championships and the team winning gold in 2016. Matt graduated from Adams State earning 12 All-American honors, two time runner up in the NCAA indoor mile, and breaking one of the biggest barriers in our sport, the 4minute mile. In 2019 Matt did something no runner has ever done, run under 4 minutes for the mile and competed in the Western States 100 mile race.
