Season 2 - Episode 1 - Karlee Schwengler
In the first episode of Season 2, Farrah Low interviews Karlee Schwengler of Kindersley Composite School about the 2023 Canadian Student Leadership Conference. Both Karlee and Farrah attended the conference in St. John, New Brunswick and share many exciting highlights.
No. 6 Jill Dobbin of Kindersley Composite School
This is the fourth and final interview by Farrah Low conducted at the Sun West Student Leadership Seminar on October 5. In this episode, Farrah speaks with Jill Dobbin of Kindersley Composite School, who has been part of the Sun West Student Leadership Program for five years. Jill discusses some of the opportunities she has had to travel as part of student leadership programs. She also talks about the support that the school division has provided to student leadership in Sun West and some of the challenges faced by student leaders.
No. 5 Cheyenne Jans of Elrose Composite School
In the third of four interviews done at the October 5 Sun West Student Leadership Seminar in Rosetown, Farrah Low interviews Cheyenne Jans, a Grade 12 student from Elrose Composite School. Farrah and Cheyenne discuss the Online Student Leadership Course that Cheyenne took and the ways that student leadership helped her develop her public speaking and other leadership skills. They also talk about Cheyenne's many activities through her school's Student Leadership Team as well as the Sun West Student Leadership Program including attending provincial and national student leadership conferences.
No. 4 Syawlalliwi Ronquillo from Eaton School
This is the second of a series of four interviews conducted by Farrah at the Sun West Student Leadership Seminar on October 5 in Rosetown. In this episode, Farrah interviews Syawlalliwi Ronquillo, a Grade 12 student from Eaton School in Eatonia. They discuss leadership and spirit activities in Eaton and Davidson Schools, the uses of social media in promoting school spirit and the relative merits of online and in-person events. In the interview, Farrah talks about an Instagram Reel created for the Davidson Raiders Volleyball Team that has received over 3000 hits. This is the first of a series of interviews conducted by Farrah at the Sun West Student Leadership Seminar that was held October 5 in Rosetown. In this episode, Farrah interviews Macy Norrish, a Grade 11 student at Loreburn Central School. Macy talks about her experience in the Leader in Me program at her school and how its principles were applied to both her involvement in student athletics and Team Sun West, part of the Sun West Student Leadership Program.
