If you're a Millennial, you know the pressure to "give the people what they want." You know what it means to succumb to the need to stay occupied with tasks in order to feel accomplished. But even though the results can be good for others, is this healthy for you? Brittany tackles this topic that she has also fallen victim to and gives us the answer for how we can overcome the need to be busy to feel effective.

Is there an obligation of shepherds to equip those in their flock to further the Gospel of Christ outside of their local church? Do we see this happening a lot? Is it lacking? James 3:1 says, "Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness." If this instruction was given to those who may have been desiring to become teachers, how much more does this apply to those who are tasked with overseeing or leading a flock? In today's episode, Brittany sits down with fellow members of the congregation in which she is also a member of to understand how those a part of a ministry view failure when it comes from their leader. 

Have you ever met someone who cannot resist the urge to talk about themselves? Whether it be about something they've accomplished, their kids, their material possessions, or what they've done for someone else, they can't help but make things about themselves. Today, Brittany discusses this and reiterates how we should see ourselves in comparison to Christ instead of in light of our own endeavors. 

Let's face it, when it comes to friendships, we wished we had a rulebook to tell us exactly who, what, when, where, why, and how, but it's just not that simple. However, there are some basic, Biblical principles that we can apply as we seek guidance for cultivating or preserving friendships. Brittany dives into this to flesh out what our friendships should look like and how they affect us if they don't. 

Some would argue that speaking out about things like the overturning of Roe vs. Wade would be adding to the noise of the world. While this may be true for some, believers who speak on issues such as these, who are spreading the Word of God to those who are lost is never noise. And if so, it’s a joyful one. There are so many voices that are boldly working to march us towards a morally debased society that it’s time for Christians to speak for the God who brought this world into existence to begin with. In today’s episode, Brittany tackles this topic that hits home for many, herself included. 

What is Pride and is it something that should be celebrated? While there are many who would argue that pride is a significant staple in the life of those who want to show contentment for an achievement in their life, can this sometimes be a spiritual error? There have been a number of instances in Scripture that point to the outcome of situations that were rooted in pride. Some good. Some bad. And some deadly. In today's episode, Brittany talks about how this month highlights the way God sees Pride and how we should also.

If we're being honest, a vast majority of those who are now Christians, before they gave their lives to Christ, probably felt that there would be limited freedom tied to the faith that others were trying to convince them to subscribe to. It's easy to get caught up in acting on how we feel or forming an idea of how things should go based on our own perspective. But can this be counterproductive for the believer? Should the believer's conduct and viewpoint be based upon where their emotions and opinions lead them? In today's episode, Brittany digs into matters of the heart and explores how the heart and our opinions, left unrefined, can potentially be dangerous.

As today marks the 25th episode for The Traditional Millennial Podcast, it's only right that women are advocated for!  But this advocating doesn't come without Brittany challenging us to go further and dig deeper.  We know that the term "independent" may be the title of a popular 2000's rap song, but it is not a term we see used in Scripture.  But for today, Brittany seeks to define this term, how it applies to the single woman (and man), and hopes to put some of the single lady's minds at ease as it relates to upholding their standards in dating in today's world by answering a frequently asked question. 

There is this idea in our society that women are the ones who always need protection from men.  But, do we ever take time to consider that men may need protection, too?  Are women the only ones who experience heartache, deception, pain, or trauma at the hands of men?  While there are a vast majority of women who have been hurt by men, there has been an uptick in the changing mindset of women that has shown a significant proclivity to exhibit what we call "toxic" behaviors.  In today's episode, Brittany uses Scripture to take a deep dive into this topic to explore what we can do to not be complicit in the degradation of men by the "toxic" woman.

As we study Scripture, we have to be very careful how we look into it in order to draw out from it.  If we begin to invent ways to make Scripture apply to certain situations, we may find ourselves try to force a puzzle piece in a place it never belonged.  In today's episode, Brittany dives into a familiar passage of Scripture in order to get our spiritual wheels turning and to also remind us of who we, as believers, should "link up" with.

In today's society, many people have become determined to do away with the holy things of God that may not suit their current, culturally accepted lifestyle.  In doing this, some have deemed parts of God's Word as a legalistic tool to keep them from living freely.  But does sincerely doing what God says prove to be legalistic or reverential?  Restricting or beneficial?  In today's episode, Brittany tackles one of the most holy yet abandoned precepts God has given believers to follow--the Law.
