This is our second Inner Circle Session, where we talk to our Inner Circle Patrons from our Patreon page. In this one Taylor, our patron, and Jim, our founder discuss compassion for ourselves and others. Nelli D was unable to make this one as she had a prior commitment.
Compassion is a hazy topic in the spiritual community. It seems we either err on the side being compassionate for others to a fault while simultaneously having none for ourselves. This episode is meant to kick off an introspective exploration of the topic.
If you want in on these Inner Circle Sessions and the opportunity to get an early peak at the month's theme as well as inspire some content on the topic check out our Patreon page Patreon.com/theunusualbuddha. This all comes as part of a monthly meditation class that Jim leads as part of the perk. Plus, you'll receive our undying love and admiration.
Taylor is one of our Inner Circle Patrons, she responded pretty quickly when we announced the date for our the Inner Circle Exclusive and informal meditation session. She was maybe half as excited as we were. So here we are again, humbly learning a thing for your entertainment. We used this session to unveil our theme for the month of April, interconnectedness, then we rolled right into a short 10 minute meditation session. We hope you enjoy

This is audio from a video I recently made for a course I'm working on called Meditation, Doing the Work. We gave our patrons the opportunity to kick the tires first on this one. This course has been a dream of mine for some time. It will be free forever! Here we discuss Serenity meditation aka Samatha (annapannasati skt. for mindfulness of the breath). Here I outline a few preliminaries to practice like posture and positioning as well as outlining the actual practice. Once this session of brave souls finishes, and we make the necessary adjustments, we'll open the next round to the public.
