She traveled to Atlanta and networked with the producers there to develop her sound. She met with Justice Baiden, one of the founders of LVRN, and was able to join a session with London on da Track. With Summer Walker being one of CD’s biggest influences, CD was not going to miss this opportunity. After her time in Atlanta, she released her debut project, “Take Your Own Advice”. A year later, she released her new single, “Tsunami” and is working on her next project. CD is ready to put herself out there. She is looking to represent the LGBTQ+ community in the R&B space. Her debut released back in July 2021 and since then, she has gone on to perform at a different variety of venues and has become a radiant light in any space she enters. She opens up about her art background, being a dancer and writing a book of poetry. Poetry eventually evolved into lyrics and “Baby Steps” was born. The project is six tracks long and the project displays kei’s versatility and potential to get a crowd moving. Personal favorites are: “dead to me” and “Pressed”. She shares how she was able to construct most of her project during the pandemic and at the same time, she became more in touch with her spirituality. All of that is displayed in her performances. You can feel the energy while you’re watching from your seat. kei is all about her growth. She is looking forward to embracing her newfound support and creating new waves within the scene.
