When a topic as complex as vaccines becomes socially taboo, where do you go to talk about it? Join pediatrician Dr. Bob Sears and Melissa, mother and health freedom educator, on this informative journey where we will discuss everything from disease outbreaks to vaccine risks and side effects, the vaccine schedule, media hype, vaccine laws and controversies, and everything in between. Learn more at our non-profit websiteImmunityEducationGroup.org | Sources available atbit.ly/vaxconv .
Today we announce our planned live event in Wisconsin on April 16th and 17th, (www.WUFFStrong.org for tickets) and Dr. Bob's trip to Oregon on April 24th (email info@HealthyImmunity.org for tix). Then we share our exciting plans for The Vaccine Conversation movie. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
Our live podcast show is coming to Orlando in just 8 days! We look forward to seeing you there for our two-day event. Dr Bob shares what’s new with his vaccine book and his unique experience caring for families that few other pediatricians get to. Melissa shares what’s new in her life and how she balances work, children, and activism. And we drop some hints about our upcoming video project. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we recap our recent live podcast in Dallas and share how gathering with fellow freedom fighters blesses the soul and empowers our community. And we announce our upcoming event in Nashville on December 4th and 5th. See y’all there! http://bit.ly/vaxconv
What's the real solution to the pandemic? Can we really avoid Covid by locking down and masking up, or is it wiser to prepare our physical/mental health to work through this inevitable virus? Is our pharma-funded government really trying to keep us safe and healthy, or trying to control us with another year or two of lockdown despite the consequences? How will this fear affect our children in the long term? And what are the parallels between Covid response and the vaccine conversation? bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we announce the revival of our live podcast tour, and our first stop is Dallas, Texas, on November 5! We then take a deeper dive into masks, mortality, and the fear of disease. How is our society reacting to the "new normal" that our government and health policymakers continue to force upon us? Why are Covid deaths viewed as something worse than the vast millions of annual fatalities from all other causes? And why have we become so much more fearful of routine illness? http://bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we explain the new technology behind Moderna's mRNA vaccine. Is a brand new untested technology really in our best interest in something as complex as vaccination? Then we read and discuss an internal email from Health and Human Services that reveals some of the motivations and processes involved in Operation Warp Speed - our federal government's fast-tracked plan to approve Covid treatments and vaccines. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
The flu shot just became mandatory for all Massachusetts infants, children, and young adults, passed by the Legislature without any public input. Numerous public health departments and Universities are following suit. But will this vaccine really protect us from influenza complications and keep us safe from Covid? Why are local jurisdictions mandating a vaccine with a such a dismal efficacy? And, will it possibly make you even more susceptible to Covid? http://bit.ly/vaxconv
Melissa continues her conversation with Dr. Bob with a look back at how The Vaccine Book came into being. Why did he write it, how did he formulate his approach to vaccines, and how have his viewpoints evolved in his updated third edition (2019) of the book? We explore alternative vaccine schedules and what risks they pose compared to the CDC schedule. And Dr. Bob shares his new understanding and appreciation for the health of families who don’t opt in for vaccination. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
We continue our interview series with a spotlight on Dr. Bob Sears. Melissa takes you on a journey into Dr. Bob’s past to learn what prepared him for life as a doctor. We discuss how his father, also an outlier who rose up as a champion for naturally-minded families, influenced him. We talk about what it’s like to provide a medical home for families who are kicked out from everywhere else and whether his patients truly are healthier than kids raised with a mainstream medical approach. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we cover a New England Journal of Medicine report that seeks to establish six criteria that should be in place in order to justify mandating the Covid vaccine. But who decides if the disease is out of control? Will mandates be targeted at certain groups or at everyone, and will there be enough doses to go around? Will pharma be transparent enough with their safety and efficacy research? Will an injury compensation program increase or decrease trust? Is a voluntary system better? bit.ly/vaxconv
Is mumps a harmless childhood disease, or are the complications as common and serious as the media portrays? Are current outbreaks happening because some choose to opt out of this vaccine, or are most cases occurring in fully-vaccinated teens and adults because of vaccine failure? What are the side-effects of this live-virus vaccine, and are these risks actually higher than the natural disease? And did the inventors of this vaccine falsify their research to get it approved by the FDA? bit.ly/vaxconv
We recorded this lost episode back in January but never aired it because Coronavirus took over the airwaves. You never know when you’ll have an opportunity to share the human side of vaccine injury and the personal reason for your beliefs with friends and strangers. Melissa and Dr. Bob both share their top five topics of conversation to have ready for any situation. And the more conversations you have, the more confident you’ll become as you change hearts and minds around you. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we discuss a variety of topics, starting with how tolerance of varying viewpoints can bring a society closer together and unify those in the health freedom movement. We announce Dr. Bob's new podcast "A Tale of Two Sides" and Melissa's upcoming podcast (coming soon!). Then we dig into some new studies on Hydroxychloroquine and its role in Covid treatment, and offer some lifestyle and nutritional tips on how to beat the virus if and when it finally comes calling. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
The justification for social distancing, mask wearing, and shutting down our global economy was largely based on the fear that asymptomatic people will easily spread Covid. Early studies fanned these fears and created a whole world of people willing to “do their part” by staying home to stay safe, to shun social contact, and to shame those who don’t comply. But this research was flawed, and new studies show such spread is very rare and contributes very little to the pandemic. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
Many policymakers assume that Covid-19 is largely spread by children, leading to nationwide school closures and hesitation about re-opening amid unfounded fears of kids being asymptomatic carriers. Today we break down research articles and expert opinions that show the opposite is true: while the Flu is readily spread by children, Covid-19 is not. The available data shows that children contribute very little to the spread of the virus, and schools can re-open without a “new normal.” bit.ly/vaxconv
We often see the media ignore science in favor of eye-catching headlines. Fear sells, and reassurance does not. Medical experts have been reporting cases of Kawasaki disease or multi-organ inflammation syndrome as a rare Covid complication in kids, stressing it is extremely rare and no cause for alarm. Yet the media and officials are capitalizing on fear to push the shut-down agenda. We break down this condition and hear what experts say about whether or not you should be worried. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we speak with Senator and family physician Dr. Scott Jensen who found a national spotlight on conservative news for his unique but accurate views on the polarizing Covid debate. He discusses how mandating anything from masks to the vaccine is a dangerous precedent for a free society and how the media and regulatory agencies use fear to guide the public. He shares his beliefs as a doctor who supports choice and a government official who supports liberty and individual freedoms. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we are honored to talk with a Placer County Supervisor who gained attention with his outspoken views on California’s response to the Covid-19 outbreak. Kirk shares what constitutes a state of emergency and at what point a county should regain its constitutional autonomy once the data no longer shows significant risk. We also discuss what happens when a Governor goes too far in exerting power over the residents of a state and how extended lockdowns may be politically motivated. bit.ly/vaxconv
We continue our review of an extreme plan to mandate Covid-19 vaccination published in a Canadian periodical by examining the suggestions on how to punish those who don’t comply. Should those who opt-out be convicted as criminals, or be punished with loss of employment, extra taxes, and loss of insurance or pensions? Most disturbingly, the authors hone in on children—suggesting kids could be taken away from their parents to be force-vaccinated before being returned. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we break down a newspaper article's road map on how to make Covid-19 vaccination mandatory and discuss how readers can recognize the tactics the media use to sell a certain narrative. Why does science become so divisive when political agendas are at stake? Do we need to rely on artificial herd immunity and are governmental police powers really warranted for THIS virus? Finally, should nations devote all their remaining resources in a race for a vaccine that might not even work? bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we mark our centennial celebration with an outdoor backyard chat about what the vaccine conversation really means to us and express our sincere love and appreciation for all the support and feedback we get from all of you. We briefly discuss our roles in the coronavirus conversation as health freedom advocates, share our favorite listener reviews, and highlight portions that really speak to us and reflect our mission. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
We continue our discussion by looking at why New York was hit so hard compared to other places and examining new concerns about overuse of ventilators. We share two preventable risk factors for Covid-19 disease severity — Vitamin D deficiency and obesity — and talk about how to reduce these risks. We look at Sweden’s approach that may keep their nation healthier and finish with some encouragement on how to talk with your legislator about re-opening your local economy. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we summarize our beliefs about COVID-19 and discuss our nation's response to the pandemic. We break down the theory of social distancing by posing a very important question: Is there actual science to back up our nationwide lockdown policy? What about the possibility that isolation could be lowering our immune system, making us more susceptible to disease and the next wave of the outbreak worse? What do other physicians and epidemiologists think of the way this is playing out? bit.ly/vaxconv
We continue our discussion with more ways to broaden medical minds. Share thoughtful concerns about things like the number of doses on the full CDC schedule, genetic susceptibility to injuries, and ethical problems with vaccine mandates. If some vaccines aren’t necessary for children's health, are parents wrong to delay them? And what about the severe vaccine reactions the CDC warns against, giving informed consent, and consideration of conflicts of interest? http://bit.ly/vaxconv
Parents often find the very idea of talking with a doctor or nurse about vaccines too overwhelming. Today we offer tips on how to get a medical professional to listen to you as you share your own personal journey. We discuss how to set the right intentions for your conversation, focus on why parents have concerns, and start with thoughtful questions that will help any reasonable professional see you differently than the pre-conceived notion of who vaccine-hesitant parents are. http://bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we share some fun in-studio conversation with the winner from one of our SoCal fundraisers. Colleen shares her journey in becoming a vaccine safety advocate and we discuss how to approach your friends when they turn their back on you after a vaccine injury. We consider the ethics surrounding a mandatory coronavirus vaccine, share our thoughts early on in the coronavirus quarantine, and discuss social responsibility when someone gets sick (recorded March 14). bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we cover Melissa’s #TruthPart40 post about this derogatory phrase and how the vaccine safety movement can respond. What do they mean when they want YOUR kids to be vaccinated? All 69 doses? Or is just the measles vaccine enough to let you around their kids? What about hepatitis B vaccine, tetanus, or HPV? We discuss why it’s so important for this phrase to be qualified and why this should be part of the national conversation since “being vaccinated” doesn’t mean what it used to. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we announce changes to our upcoming PODCAST TOUR because of new state and federal action steps limiting public gatherings due to Coronavirus. Dr. Bob also offers some brief information on the virus, how testing works, and when to seek help. Then we break down the current CDC vaccine schedule and review exactly how many doses there are, how to accurately count them, and discuss why this is important for all parents to understand. bit.ly/vaxconv
When do tens of thousands of vaccine injuries that are conveniently ignored become sufficient evidence for a deeper investigation? Today we meet Nico LaHood, former District Attorney for Bexar County, Texas, and hear about his journey through both sides of the criminal justice system. He shares how his son’s vaccine injury spurred him on to take a brave and public stance against pharmaceutical tyranny and pledge a lifetime of sharing the truth with the world so that injury would not be in vain. bit.ly/vaxconv
Melissa unveils her 2nd set of VaxFacts cards and shares her vision for this new form of vaccine information outreach. We then tackle Coronavirus and break down an article that calls it the first new disease outbreak in the social media era. Should people really be concerned, or are the media and government spreading unwarranted fear in order to justify removing personal liberties? Will this outbreak be leveraged as another example of why diseases like measles are a threat to us all? bit.ly/vaxconv
First we reveal ALL 10 states of our upcoming National podcast tour and give the tentative dates! Then we get into a pertussis vaccine update from a recent study that reveals new concerns about giving Tdap during pregnancy. Researchers found that mom’s vaccine antibodies from the shot during pregnancy actually reduce baby’s own pertussis vaccine response, leaving them MORE susceptible to pertussis, which raises important questions about the current recommendations for pregnant women. bit.ly/vaxconv
We delve into one of the most shocking dilemmas in the vaccine debate: How can a metal that is unquestionably toxic to the human brain be used without safety studies or regulation? Who is behind this push, and why are governments ignoring the science that shows a link to brain injury, Alzheimer’s, and other chronic conditions? We learn about the work of the world’s leading expert on this toxic metal and discover why there really is no such thing as a safe amount of injected aluminum. bit.ly/vaxconv
We continue our discussion on the unethical practices of a pharmaceutical company that was not only found guilty of false advertising, racketeering, and other illegal and unethical practices, but was also caught testing medications on children in a third-world country without parental consent. We review some concerns about the new 20-strain pneumococcal vaccine and the ethical problems of a government mandating products made by a company with a rap sheet pages long. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we reveal... the first four locations of our upcoming live National Podcast Tour!! Woo hoo! Then we take a deep dive into the investigations of fraudulent practices of a vaccine manufacturer that is sponsoring Oprah’s National Wellness Tour. We discuss the drug company’s troublesome history, look at how they’ve put American lives at risk, and ask the bigger question: why would any public figure want to associate their name with a company found guilty of racketeering and fraud? bit.ly/vaxconv
We continue our discussion on New Jersey with another freedom fighter, new to this movement, and learn what motivates her and gives her the energy to prepare for the long game. We discuss the factors that galvanized so many citizens to swarm the capitol, how this inspired the legislators, and how the presence of the men of this state supported the mama bears. We finish by breaking down a recent article that gives eight lessons we can all embrace from our partners in the Garden State. bit.ly/vaxconv
Health freedom advocates spent the last year working tirelessly to educate enough of their local legislators to prevent the passing of a mandatory vaccination bill that would have eliminated religious exemptions and restrict medical exemptions. Today we talk with the first of two New Jersey freedom fighters closely involved in this fight and learn how they succeeded, how they found the energy to never give up, and what the rest of us can learn from their experience. bit.ly/vaxconv
Just when you think it can’t get any worse, it does. Now they are coming after your teens directly. Today we dissect a disturbing article that seeks to convince teenagers to vaccinate without their parents’ knowledge and we uncover the devious techniques some in the media will use to turn your own kids against you. This is a perfect reason why it’s important to stay vigilant and keep the lines of communication open between you and your children. bit.ly/vaxconv
We are back after the holiday season with our return to Season 2. We share the highlights of the Holiday cards we received from listeners and discuss why making connections with people and building relationships is one way people can find the energy to stay in this fight. We also talk about what’s coming up for us this spring where we will have the chance to meet many of you on our upcoming live podcast 10-state National Tour! bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we discuss two different events Melissa attended involving talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. The goal was to hold him accountable for his earlier public comments mocking and degrading those who opt out of vaccines, and allow him to see the real faces of families with vaccine injury. We discuss why intention matters when having conversations about taboo topics and we propose a slight shift for our movement — focusing on heart to heart exchanges with “the other side”. bit.ly/vaxconv
Human fetal cells are used to make vaccines, but what fetal cell parts really end up in the final solutions? Today we interpret four vaccine Product Inserts and several research articles that clearly describe the origins of these fetal cells and how DNA and proteins from the actual human fetuses end up in today’s shots. We discuss three ways these fetal tissues are harmful to our children and the ethical and religious reasons why everyone should oppose laws that mandate these products. bit.ly/vaxconv
Dr. Chris Shaw shares what he has discovered about the un-natural immune response aluminum vaccines create, how this toxic metal finds its way to the brain, and how it contributes to autoimmune disease. Despite the positive response he gets from some colleagues, he reveals how the general scientific community continues to coverup the truth about aluminum toxicity, and how forcing a “retraction” is the latest weapon the pharmaceutical industry is using against those who speak out. bit.ly/vaxconv
What happens when a scientist uncovers an inconvenient but alarming truth? Today we get to know a university professor and neurobiologist who was among the first to discover that aluminum in vaccines causes serious brain injury. Dr. Shaw shares how injected vaccine aluminum is not easily detoxified and how it makes its way to the brain with serious consequences. Shaw reveals why scientists and government officials continue to deny these risks even with an abundance of scientific proof. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we finally share our special announcement. We plan to take The Vaccine Conversation Podcast on a national tour early next year with live podcasts on stage with audience participation, special interviews with local leaders, and episodes covering the most pertinent topics in the vaccine debate. And we will film it all for release as a documentary later next year. It’s time to take our efforts to the next level and bring others into this conversation. Support us at www.ImmunityEd.org
In Season 1 we gave you an overview of the infections we vaccinate against in the first nine months. Today we cover the rest of these: measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, hepatitis A, meningococcal disease, and HPV. How common and deadly are all these infections? What are the symptoms and how can you and your doctor make the diagnosis? And what is the risk versus benefit ratio of each vaccine? bit.ly/vaxconv
We continue our discussion about this neurotoxin with a comparison between ingested and injected aluminum and how one type clears the body efficiently while the other, by design, finds its way to the brain. We reveal the lack of safety research on this adjuvant and the mounting body of evidence that proves aluminum in vaccines, in any amount, poses a serious health hazard to children and adults. bit.ly/vaxconv
Aluminum is used as an adjuvant in half of our pediatric vaccines, and the medical community has reassured us for decades that it is perfectly “safe”. But where are the real studies to prove this claim? Today we give an overview on aluminum, discuss how and when researchers first learned that aluminum causes harm, and critique the medical establishment’s narrative that this neurotoxic metal is nothing to worry about. bit.ly/vaxconv
Those who push for mandates claim that exemptions are increasing and so are the numbers of unvaccinated and “susceptible” children. Today we reveal four studies that show the very opposite: most kids with exemptions are actually vaccinated, especially against polio, whooping cough, and measles — the diseases people worry about the most. Some are even fully vaccinated. And we discover that even parents who vaccinate think there are too many shots and that they weaken the immune system. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today Bobby Kennedy, Jr. shares how he realized there were more problems with the vaccine program than just mercury. We talk about why he created his non-profit Children’s Health Defense as a base in this fight for scientific integrity and transparency. Later, we hear about his conversations with Governor Newsom and President Trump, who were both unwilling to stand up against the pharmaceutical industry, and Bobby reflects on how his father and his uncle took a strong stand against corruption bit.ly/vaxco
When fighting against corruption is part of your historical legacy and you’ve been raised to put it all on the line if it means you can protect families and children, you may find yourself in the middle of the fight to bring transparency and accountability to the vaccine program. Today we begin an intimate conversation with the incomparable Bobby Kennedy, Jr., and hear how the lessons he learned from his influential family helped prepare him for his role in one of the most controversial debates of our tim
Why is the flu shot the only prevention for influenza we hear about in the media, at the doctor’s office, and even at the drug store? Today we discuss an article that highlights how you can prevent and treat the flu more naturally, without side effects, and, perhaps, more effectively. We read parts of a study from one of the original vitamin D researchers, learn how this hormone boosts your immune system, and discuss how health and medicine may not always go hand in hand. bit.ly/vaxconv
We wrap up Vaccine Injury Awareness Month with a look at a 2004 LA Times article that features three vaccine injury stories and the challenges the families of the victims faced in vaccine court. We discuss why journalists are no longer willing to report openly on vaccine injury and later have an important conversation with a distressed mother who shares her family’s experience after 27 years of hardship. bit.ly/vaxconv
We continue our discussion with Barbara Loe Fisher with a behind-the-scenes look at what it was like to lead a small, but determined, group of parents in a fight against Big Pharma that ultimately resulted in the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act. Hear how she grew NVIC into the national organization it is today and her experience serving on various governmental vaccine safety commissions. Finally, she gives us a peak at what’s next for her, including exciting new book ideas she’s been working
Today we speak with the woman who started the vaccine injury awareness movement. Barbara shares her own personal story about her son's injury and what it took for her to eventually realize that vaccines were responsible. She opens up about what prepared her for this work, her personal motivations that keep her going in this seemingly endless fight, and what direction she would like to see the informed consent movement go in the years to come. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we review two newspaper articles—from the LA Times and NY Times—surrounding the passage of the 1986 Act and discuss how vaccine injury was openly acknowledged by the media back in the 80s, compared to the cover-up we see today. We discuss the multiple layers of the omnibus bill, and learn how removing liability for manufacturers was a dangerous addition to what many assumed was a compensation program designed to support victims and their families. bit.ly/vaxconv
Did your doctor fail to give you proper informed consent for vaccination? Did your child suffer a serious vaccine reaction and your doctor ignored it? Your state medical board needs to hear from you. If your child was harmed by a vaccine and your doctor didn’t acknowledge it, document it, report it, and warn you about further doses and further injury, then your doctor is guilty of negligence. Today we discuss an online guide on how to submit a well-researched, well-documented complaint. bit.ly/vaxconv
Doctors have always assumed that febrile seizures were harmless, so febrile seizures triggered by vaccines “should be” harmless as well. Today we unpack brand new data from two research studies that question this long-held belief. If having febrile seizures during childhood increases the risk of suffering from life-long epilepsy, serious mood disorders, and other neurological problems, isn’t it time doctors start acknowledging this risk and start educating and protecting their patients? bit.ly/vaxconv
We continue our conversation with one of today’s most daring activists and get a behind-the-scenes look at his most recent vaccine injury awareness rallies. Learn what it takes to plan and execute a successful rally and reach people in your community with the right messaging. Joshua Coleman shares his experience and resources so you can follow his example where you live and help change the narrative on vaccine safety. bit.ly/vaxconv
In part one of our two-part interview with Joshua Coleman, we discuss the personal story and tragic injury of his son Otto that ultimately brought him to the front lines of the fight for medical rights and informed consent. We delve into why Joshua is sometimes viewed as a controversial character, and where his critics continue to get it wrong about him. Finally, we discuss working on the Vaxxed tour, and how filming over 800 vaccine injury stories changed him forever. bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we discuss an exclusive interview and the article written about Dr. Bob by a publication that historically hasn't been favorable to the opposition of medical mandates. In a rare opportunity, Dr. Bob agreed to a 4-hour interview and shared his thoughts on his medical board probation, the importance of believing and supporting his patients, and the need for more thorough research by The Medical Establishment in order to better protect at-risk children. bit.ly/vaxconv
In the second half of our interview with Del Bigtree we cover the work he’s done and continues to do to help inform the public about vaccine safety issues and revealing conflicts of interest — discussing both his web TV show “The Highwire” and his non-profit organization Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN). bit.ly/vaxconv
From working behind the camera to being in front of it, Del Bigtree has made a name for himself motivating and inspiring parents across the nation with his powerful speeches. This first part of our two-part interview explores Del the individual—where he came from, what led him into this informed consent movement, and why he is so passionate about medical freedom and transparency. bit.ly/vaxconv
Our first episode of Season 2 is an extremely important one. We take an in-depth look at the federal vaccine court case of a boy severely injured by the DPT vaccine and discuss how numerous court delays ultimately led to a tragic ending six years into the case. This painful and heartbreaking story represents exactly why parents across the nation and the world continue to fight fearlessly against laws mandating products with inherent risk. bit.ly/vaxconv
There is still so much to discuss regarding the larger vaccine debate. Today we share what some of our favorite ideas are for Season 2 and what we most look forward to bringing to the podcast. Don’t worry, we won’t be gone for long. There is work to be done, there are conversations to be had, and a public perception that desperately needs changing. See you very soon! tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Today we take a look back at our favorite episodes and moments from this past year and talk about our most memorable highlights — what made us laugh, what topics got the most feedback, and what we found the most compelling. We share our current thoughts and struggles with the current California legislation and what we are doing to prevent this tragic bill. But don’t worry! We promise to be back later in the summer after we get some much-needed rest. tinyurl.com/VaxConv
We are back today with some reviews read to you in our favorite accents. Then we take a trip back in history to the late 1800s and break down an article about the origins of the very first organized resistance to mandatory vaccination. We read about the objections to forced vaccination people had 150 years ago, how they fought these laws, how class and gender fit in, and how their elected representatives responded. Will history repeat itself, or have we truly learned from our mistakes? bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we talk about the recent California Medical Board meeting where they discussed the proposed law attacking medical exemptions and expressed many concerns about the bill as written—including the overly narrow requirements of CDC guidelines. Then Melissa and Dr. Bob have a no-holds-barred conversation about HIS medical board case, and if there is perhaps more to be done to clear his name and set the record straight. tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Are the current measles outbreaks due to an “increasing number of unvaccinated children,” or is there another explanation? This 1984 study explained why the MMR vaccine wouldn’t eradicate measles as planned, despite very high levels of coverage. This study predicted that measles outbreaks would continue, even in fully vaccinated populations, due to primary vaccine failure, and that the initial success of the vaccine in the 70’s and 80’s would be due to a naturally immune adult population. bit.ly/v
Today we discuss the severe vaccine reactions that are on the VICP list of side effects that patients should be compensated for. Some of these are obvious, like anaphylaxis and encephalopathy. But some are largely unknown, like vaso-vagal syncope, shoulder injury, and live-virus infection from a vaccine. And we discuss what Dr. Bob witnessed last week when one of his own patients suffered such a reaction right in his office. Sources: bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we share what we do with our own kids to keep their immune systems healthy and what you can do from day one to grow your baby’s immune system. Is it really as simple as getting a natural start to life, avoiding certain pitfalls early on, then choosing the right foods to keep the immune system in perfect balance? Do certain vitamins and natural nutrients help too? And what does Harvard University have to say about it? Sources: bit.ly/vaxconv
We know that some children will suffer a serious vaccine reaction, but who decides if your reaction is severe enough to stop vaccination and still be allowed into school? Will you and your doctor decide, or a legislator? What happens when a doctor catches a baby up on ALL missing doses and gives 12 vaccines in a single visit? And how can doctors stop requiring written consent from parents before each medical intervention (including vaccines) for their child when federal law requires it? bit.ly/vaxconv
Who pays for the science that keeps “settling” the vaccine safety argument? And if the science is settled, then why do peer-reviewed studies continue to reaffirm the reality of vaccine risk? Can scientists ever really close the book on any important hypothesis, or should they continue searching ALL avenues when new information becomes available—especially when the number of “anecdotes” driving the hypothesis keeps rising? Today we break down Melissa’s #TruthPart6 post about scientific objectivit
Today we discuss a controversial book that will challenge what you, and your grandparents, think you know about the polio epidemic. Were these mysterious cases of paralysis really due to the poliovirus? Did the polio vaccine truly save all of us from a lifetime of disability? Or is there more to the story? What happened when scientists, doctors, and concerned parents began to realize that other factors may be at play, and what did the government, doctors, and historians do to control the narrative?
Today we dissect another one of Melissa’s Facebook truth posts: how trained experts are programming our minds to accept even the most ridiculous ideas. The thought police aren’t just censoring information so we don’t see it — they are carefully engineering the data and messages we DO see, all with one goal in mind. And more alarmingly, are the uneducated masses so easily influenced that they come to believe the media sound bites are truly their own original ideas? Sources: tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Today we discuss the current battle happening in California regarding a bill designed to eliminate almost all vaccine medical exemptions for children. We also talk about what it means to be an informed advocate, and why it’s so important that you are actively involved in the preservation of medical freedom. The big take away is to #shareyourstory of vaccine injury, do not stay silent, and help protect other children by finally speaking up to those around you. Sources: tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Those who push for mandatory vaccination are constantly looking for new ways to label, shame, and discriminate against the growing number of people concerned about vaccine safety. Today we dissect a disturbing article from Money Magazine that claims a sinister motivation behind the vaccine safety movement. But are vaccine-educated parents, whose kids suffered serious side effects, really spreading misinformation? Or are they simply sharing their stories so that others will know the risk? bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we discuss a disease that many parents are concerned about, despite the fact that it is extremely rare. Could your child catch tetanus from a simple scrape from a dirty, rusty nail? How does tetanus even happen, and how can you prevent it? Should unvaccinated kids get a tetanus shot for any wound, or just severe ones? How can you identify the symptoms so your child can receive prompt treatment. And what about the vaccine? Are the potential side effects worth the disease protection? bit.ly/vaxconv
The ardent pro-mandatory vaccinationists have managed to get the anti-vaxxer label to stick to those of us who engage in open discussion on vaccines. Today we consider why they chose such a carefully-crafted derogatory term, what this label really means, and their not-so-hidden agenda to shift public opinion in a certain direction. But are we really “anti” anything, besides mandatory vaccination? Is there a more positive term that better describes our vaccine safety advocacy movement? tinyurl.com/VaxCon
Today we open up about what this podcast really means to us personally and how our two very different and unique personalities brought us together as a team. We share a special review from a listener, talk about podcast reviews in general and what they mean to us, and how we appreciate our connection with the listeners. We all have something to contribute to this conversation, and our greatest joy is to empower others to find their voice in this movement and realize their voice matters. tinyurl.com/VaxConv
What happens when our major government agencies, like the FDA, try to manipulate, control, and even strong-arm reporters who are supposed to keep them accountable? Today we uncover a Scientific American investigation that paints “a disturbing picture of the tactics that are used to control the science press.” And the bigger question: could this be happening with all government regulatory agencies? bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we fact check Joe Rogan’s interview with an infectious disease specialist/autism author/vaccine spokesperson and uncover some very unusual statements. Are vaccines only made of germ antigens and saline? Is the hygiene hypothesis just a fad? Is autism linked to 6 environmental chemicals, but NOT any of the dozens that are in vaccines? Did he just promote the First Amendment AND call for a ban on vaccine books? Why is someone who claims to be an expert getting so many facts wrong? tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Today we go live on camera to answer your questions about vaccines, infectious diseases, herd immunity, and everything in between. You can listen here, or go to our Immunity Education Group Facebook page and listen/watch the live stream from April 6. tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Vaccines are supposed to prevent disease, but what happens when a disease begins to outsmart its vaccine? Today we discuss research out of UCLA that shows getting the pertussis vaccine as a child will make you more susceptible to catching the disease. We also show you a CDC report that shows pertussis is mutating to avoid vaccine-induced immunity, and how all 90 people with pertussis in the current Los Angeles outbreak are vaccinated. Has your doctor refused to acknowledge your child’s vaccine reaction, even when it’s listed on the FDA package insert? Did your doctor insist you repeat that vaccine again, because the side effect was “coincidental?” Is your state government insisting that your child finish that vaccine series, and all other vaccines, in order to attend school? Do you know someone who has been treated this way? Today we hear the story of one such mom and what she did about it to protect her child. tinyurl.com/VaxCon
With the growing nationwide trend of doctors refusing to see families who choose a holistic lifestyle, more and more families are finding themselves without a mainstream pediatrician. Today we share the personal and professional reasons doctors use to justify this form of discrimination. Is it all about money? Do they think they are truly keeping their compliant patients safe? Does the medical insurance industry have a hand in this? Is this even ethical? Sources: tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Today we discuss Japan’s vaccination program and a comprehensive study from 2014. Listed by the WHO as the “healthiest nation in the world”, we look at how fewer doses, encouraged natural infection for certain diseases, and immediate government action after adverse reactions play a role in the success of Japan’s overall health outcomes over recent decades. We also discuss their uncertain future now that their CDC, under pressure from global pharma, is increasing their vaccine schedule. bit.ly/vaxcon
While flu season is wrapping up, policy-makers are already planning changes in how we vaccinate for next year’s flu season. One concerning change is the ACIP’s recommendation to give all babies the same dose we give adults, instead of the half-dose it’s always been. How will babies react? We also examine flu vaccine efficacy over the past two years and uncover some concerning findings that may surprise you. Sources: tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Today we wrap up our fact-checking of the March 5 Federal Senate hearing on measles mania and vaccine “misinformation”. Why was the panel presenting only one side of this complicated issue? Do the immunocompromised deserve more protection than all the vaccine-compromised children? And now that the hearing is over, what happens next? Sources: tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Today we discuss one of the most serious diseases in teens — meningococcal meningitis. Many parents fear this rare disease, especially when sending their kids off to college. We tell you how to identify the symptoms quickly so your child can receive prompt treatment. But what about the vaccine? Are two doses really better than one? We walk you through the pros and cons of this vaccine decision. Sources: bit.ly/vaxconv
Today we start the show with some timely vaccine-related news items — LIVE, on screen, with our first Facebook Live broadcast. Should you call 911 if you have measles? Are over half of the Vancouver measles cases vaccinated? Why are adult outbreaks of measles increasing worldwide? Is Amazon’s new online pharmacy one reason for censorship? And do donuts really make you smarter? Then we continue to fact check two of the doctors who testified in the March 5 Senate Hearing. tinyurl.com/VaxConv
Have you ever been told it’s your ethical duty to vaccinate for the good of the community? Is this truly the reason most people vaccinate, or do they only play the ethics card when concerns about vaccine safety are brought to the table? Today we share one of Melissa’s personal FB posts, examine the fallacies behind this often-used argument, and discuss the real ethical problems with any mandated medical procedures.
The Senate Committee on Health and Education held a hearing on March 5 to discuss the measles outbreak and vaccines. But instead of allowing testimony from both sides, as one would expect in a judicious society, the hearing consisted of ONLY pro-mandate supporters. Today we fact check the testimonies of the two senators leading the hearing and uncover the unified agenda to increase censorship of vaccine safety information.
Advocates for vaccine safety and informed consent are now under fire: Congressmen calling for a ban on “vaccine misinformation,” Facebook and Amazon and others censoring science, and a medical/pharma establishment funding it all. We discuss the multi-platform censorship that will affect what every American is allowed to see, and we read a powerful letter from Congressman Posey. We finish by looking at some reminders from past and present writers who remind us of why freedom of speech is so important.
We continue our discussion with the author of “Vaccines, Autoimmunity, and the Changing Nature of Childhood Illness” and discuss how autoimmune diseases happen, what you can do to help prevent them, and healing steps you can take to minimize their impact on your health. We also discuss some historical accounts of paralytic polio, share a surprising new theory about this virus and vaccine that may challenge what you thought you knew, and ask if the chicken pox vaccine may be doing more harm than good.
What if our kids are actually supposed to catch certain febrile illnesses in childhood? What if these bothersome but almost-always harmless diseases help us build our immune systems so we are healthier throughout adulthood? We speak with the author of a new book, “Vaccines, Autoimmunity, and the Changing Nature of Childhood Illness,” who may alter the way you think about certain childhood illnesses and the pharmaceutical efforts to eradicate them.
Today we discuss a recent article that exposes the conflicts of interest between the Centers for Disease Control and Coca-Cola. We reveal how the beverage company donated money to the CDC Foundation then utilized its CDC contacts to influence global laws governing the sugar and soda industries in order to increase soda profits. If the CDC is willing to work with a soda company this way, how much further are they going to go with pharmaceutical companies in order to promote their mutual agenda?
The First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion for all Americans. But what about religious reasons for opting out of medical care? Three States have already removed this constitutional right for its citizens, and more States are soon to follow. Today we talk with Kevin Barry, president of FirstFreedoms.org, about how vaccination is incompatible with many religions, what these specific reasons are, and how you can better get your religious leaders involved in standing up for this most sacred freedom.
The media continues to paint advocates for vaccine safety in a negative light and develops creative new strategies to convince people that vaccines should be mandatory. Today we break down this New York Times Op-Ed piece, discuss some tactics we’ve never seen before, and reveal how to sift through rhetoric and propaganda to better educate your friends and family on these issues.
What happens when you put three pro-vaxxers in the same room with three vaccine safety advocates? We were willing to find out when they filmed this episode of The Middle Ground YouTube Show. Today we discuss the show, things you didn’t see, the problem with extreme labeling, and the unfortunate doctor-versus-parent dynamic the media creates in the vaccine debate. This social experiment also serves as an example of how both sides can find common ground and compassion on this complicated issue.
Measles hysteria + dozens of legislative bills unveiled across the country to mandate more vaccines for children and reduce or eliminate exemptions. Is the timing a coincidence? Dawn Richardson, Director of Advocacy for the National Vaccine Information Center (www.NVICAdvocacy.org) joins us today for an update on nationwide vaccine legislation and shares some expert tips on how you can get involved in the political process in your state, defending the medical rights of families everywhere.
We share our personal stories about how we entered the Informed Consent movement. Dr. Bob talks about what happened in his medical school years that became a two-decade journey into vaccines and infectious diseases and how to best inform parents about this complex medical intervention. Melissa shares the vaccine injury in her daughter that led her to a community fighting for medical and educational rights; and how she chose not to stay silent so other parents could know the risks associated with vaccines.
Is measles a harmless childhood disease for most kids, or is it as dangerous as the media portrays? Is it truly on the rise, or are the current outbreaks the same as we've seen for decades now? How can you recognize measles and what should you do if there's an outbreak near you? As for the vaccine, we discuss the potentially serious side effects and whether the risk is worth the partial disease protection. Finally, we talk about the other proven (natural) treatment for measles that nobody ever talks about.
Three years ago, California became the first state in many decades to make vaccines mandatory for all schoolchildren, joining Mississippi and West Virginia. Now several other states are considering this legislation. Today we explore three reasons why these laws are wrong for our society, and uncover who is really behind this new lobbying agenda.
Everyone knows there are unending benefits to breastfeeding, but have you ever thought about how breastfeeding relates to the vaccine conversation? We discuss several research studies that weigh in on breastfeeding, the reduction of infant mortality, and disease prevention. And we ask why our government and medical industry spend so much time and money promoting pharmaceutical methods of disease prevention instead of focusing on strengthening the foundation of the immune system naturally with breastmilk.
While vaccines may provide some artificially-induced protection from specific infectious diseases, do they actually make you a healthier person? And what if research shows that the opposite may be true? Today we continue discussing part of JB Handley's book and break down the all-important question: Is following the complete recommended CDC schedule of vaccines really the best choice for long-term health and wellness?
We continue our conversation with JB Handley and challenge the widely-held belief that vaccines alone are responsible for reducing and eliminating infectious diseases. We also discuss how the benefits of vaccines tend to be overstated, and the risks are downplayed, all in in effort to help achieve compliance. And we look at how researchers may have suspected a possible autism/vaccine connection two decades ago and did nothing about it.
Today we introduce JB Handley and his new book, How to End the Autism Epidemic, and explore how the mainstream medical community has spent the last two decades refusing to acknowledge that autism is on the rise. JB shares how autism has affected his own family and how it turned him into a "reluctant activist." Together we discuss the media and medical machine behind our nation's vaccine program as they aim to maintain the narrative on this issue.
In our series highlighting individual diseases we currently vaccinate for, today we cover pneumococcal disease. We’ll tell you just how common it is, how serious (or not serious) it can be, and what your child’s risk is of catching pneumonia or meningitis from this infection. We’ll break down the risks and side effects of the vaccine, both for kids and for the elderly, and explain why there are four recommended doses on the infant vaccine schedule.
You’ve heard it is critical for our society to maintain herd immunity to keep the public from experiencing major disease outbreaks. But is this really true? Is vaccine-induced immunity the same as natural immunity, and does it offer the same level of protection? We present the pros and cons of natural herd immunity and discuss the downside of artificially induced immunity for disease management in society.
Ever wonder what type of safety testing vaccines go through before they are released to the public? Today we break down the vaccine safety research system and discuss some criticisms from the scientific community about the FDA approval process, like the lack of placebo-controlled safety trials and long-term safety studies, and the small number of test subjects.
Today we focus on whooping cough, one of the most common diseases that still spreads around despite high vaccination rates. We’ll tell you why this vaccine doesn’t work very well, how to recognized and treat the disease, and discuss the risks of the disease. We also cover the risks and side effects of the DTaP vaccine so you can make a more educated decision with your trusted health care provider.
Going against the grain is usually met with resistance. In today’s society, people question everything — yet when you do it with vaccines, you’re immediately branded in a negative way. Why is this the case? We discuss the main research studies that show parents who opt out of some vaccines are intelligent and competent, a truth that is in direct opposition to the media portrayal. bit.ly/vaxconv
Just how common and deadly are the diseases we vaccinate all new babies for? In this episode, we discuss the 9 diseases that babies get vaccines for in the first 6 months of life (Hepatitis B, Hib, Pneumococcal, Rotavirus, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Flu) so you can better understand the real risks and decide if your infant really needs all 24 doses. Part 2 to come later: Diseases for toddlers and children. bit.ly/vaxconv
The flu vaccine is the least effective vaccine on the CDC schedule, yet it has the highest amount of advertising and media hype compared to all other vaccines. We’ll ask (and answer) why, and discuss what is really behind the media campaign to convince you to “get your flu shot” every year. bit.ly/vaxconv
Just how common and deadly is the flu? Does the media tell the truth when reporting flu risks? Is the flu vaccine actually safe or effective? What about the mercury in flu shots — is that safe for pregnant women and babies? Join us for a chat about one of the most controversial vaccines on the market. bit.ly/vaxconv

Informed consent is one of the pillars of modern medicine.
There is a Federal law that mandates every patient be informed about all the risks of vaccination. However, the reality is parents are not being told everything when it comes to vaccination. Worse yet, they are discouraged from even asking the questions that allow them to make an informed decision for themselves and for their children. Join us for this important discussion and learn how to become better informed for your family. bit.ly/vaxconv
Getting your child vaccinated today is more than “just a few shots." We’ll explore how the vaccine schedule has skyrocketed to 69 doses — more than triple what it was in the eighties. Learn about each vaccine the CDC now recommends, how many doses are given of each throughout childhood, and what type of safety research has (or hasn’t) been done on each of them. bit.ly/vaxconv
You hear it all the time: “Vaccines are safe and effective!” It’s in every news broadcast and every news article, 100% of the time. And what about these common catchphrases: “We need 95% vaccine coverage to achieve herd immunity,” “Vaccine reactions are one-in-a-million,” and “The autism/vaccine connection has been de-bunked!” Are these scientific facts or carefully-crafted media sound bites as part of a PR campaign designed to shape public opinion on vaccines? bit.ly/vaxconv
