You may know him better as Agumon (Digimon), Renzo Shima (Blue Exorcist), Ail (Sailor Moon R), Sakon and Ukon (Naruto), or even Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia. but Brian Beacock is his name. He came to town this past weekend for Superior Con—a small anime/video game/comic book convention that takes place at one of the local universities.
He spoke for close to an hour offering insight into the world of acting and voice over. It was a good presentation. I can share the whole thing if you all are interested, but here is a brief intro, and the Q&A session from the end of the presentation.
First, Derek explains why shouldn't get too excited yet about the One Punch Man Season 2 announcement trailer.
Then, it's the usual Week In Review, followed by two important inquiries:
How does the growing popularity of anime influence they way studios greenlight and produce a series?
Is that good or bad?
All that and more on this week's episode of The Weeabros Anime Podcast!
Pop Team Epic again somehow makes its way onto the show as we discuss the new Poputepipikku card game. Then, it's the usual Week In Review with Attack on Titan, Overlord III, and SteinsGate;0.
Lastly, in a segment inspired by some recent discussion on the blog, Derek outlines a narrative about the production of Darling in the FranXX that may very well be more interesting than the story of DarliFra itself.
All that and more on this week's episode of The Weeabros Anime Podcast and Blog!
First, we'll take a look at Yahoo's numbers on the "most searched" anime during the first half of the year.
Then, it's Attack on Titan, Overlord III, and Steins;Gate 0 in the Week In Review.
Lastly, should a studio strive to remain as faithful as possible to the source material it's adapting, or should they have the freedom to make changes? If so, what kind?
All that and more on this week's episode of The Weeabros Anime Podcast.
FINALLY it's time to talk Season 3 of Attack on Titan, but not before Chio's School Road, Overlord III, and Steins;Gate 0. Then it's tanka time, as Derek takes aim at the T.A.P. Challenge, and Shawn tries to guess the series. It doesn't go as well as you'd think.
All that and more of the usual nonsense on this week's episode of The Weeabros Anime Podcast!
It's week three, baby. We've got Chio's School Road, Steins;Gate 0, Overlord III, and in a crazy plot plot twist, we'll be counting down the best animated series that ARE NOT anime.
All that and more right now on The Weeabros Anime Podcast!
WeeaBroDerek struggles to recover energy following his birthday weekend. Nonetheless, he'll soldier on to discuss the upcoming second season of Mob Psycho 100.
Then, the bros talk a little bit about Chio's School Road, and give our first recap and impressions of Overlord III.
Lastly, We'll leap (roughly) 12 years into the past for an impromptu Vault of Series Past venture.
All that and more on this week's episode of The Weeabros Anime Podcast!
The Weeabros kick off Season Two of the show by listening (and reacting to) the new English dubbed trailer for Made in Abyss. One of the main voices may sound familiar if you've ever played Huniepop!
Then, it's the weekly recap of Steins;Gate 0, followed by final thoughts on Darling in the FranXX.
Lastly, Derek declares the definitive list of seven shows he'll be watching this summer (with some quick initial impressions), and we discuss the true accuracy/value of MAL ratings.
It's the Season One Finale!
We'll start with the Week In Review and final thoughts on Megalo Box. Then we dissect the anatomy of a really, really good scene during our review of Violet Evergarden. Lastly it's the Last-Minute Sampler where we'll preview several of the series starting up this season.
All that and more right now on The Weeabros Anime Podcast.
Shawn worked a double shift yesterday and didn't get around to finishing Violet Evergarden. So, that gets pushed back to next week. In the mean time, though, the Weeabros discuss which Spring Season shows they missed out on that they'd still like to watch. Then it's the weekly recaps of Megalo Box, Steins;Gate 0, and Darling in the FranXX. Oh, also more talk of Steins;Gate bewbs, but no one watches anime for that, right?
We embark on our anime fitness journeys, and Pop Team Epics makes it to Cartoon Network's late night line up.
Then, we'll talk Steins;Gate 0, and Megalo Box before Shawn shares another one of his bold predictions, this time for Darling in the FranXX (he's been surprisingly accurate this season).
In the final segment, we consider which anime worlds we'd happily be a part of, and which ones we wouldn't.
It's good discussion all around on this week's episode of The Weeabros Anime Podcast!

We'll start the usual Week In Review with Megalo Box and Steins Gate 0. Then, Derek has an idea as to what is actually going on right now with Darling in the FranXX.
In the final segment, we consider a very interesting hypothetical: You can summon any anime character to help you save or destroy the world. Who do you bring, and why?
Hear our thoughts in addition to thoughts from the MAL community right now on this week's episode of The Weeabros Anime Podcast.
Fresh in the wake of some breaking news regarding Steam and its possible censorship/removal of several games, Derek talks with Manaban, Moderator for the MAL Harem and Ecchi Club.
Who determines what gets censored and when? How far is too far? We'll take on these questions and more on this Weeabros Anime Podcast Special Feature.
First, the Weeabros take a moment to talk about series clean and presentable enough to take home to your mother. After that, it's the usual Week In Review, followed by the highly anticipated (at least by Derek) review of Devilman: Crybaby.
The Weeabros discuss some moderately important news for the upcoming Summer season. Then, our heroes talk Steins;Gate 0, Megalo Box, DarliFra (sort of), and Shokugeki no Souma before reviewing Death Parade in The Vault of Series Past.

And yes, he did post it to the MAL forums.
