Welcome back to Season 6 of the Wordsmith Podcast! This year we are walking through the Hall of Faith out of Hebrews 11.

Holy Spirit you are welcome here... This week we continue looking at 1 John, we considered the necessity of love in the Christian life, and we answer the question: Who is the Holy Spirit?

Living your best life now? Once we share the most beautiful places we've been, we talk about false teaching, false teachers, and how we guard against them. Our special guest this week: Josh Hampton. Josh is a church planter in Missoula, Montana with Summit Church.

"I'm out!" On our final episode of season 4 we discuss the miraculous and mesmerizing exit of Elijah and our thoughts on his ministry and life.

This week we look at the despair of victory as Elijah is exhausted and on the run again after his triumph at Mt. Carmel. Our special guest this week is Katrina Searcy! Katrina is a song leader at Awaken, the 4-H youth extension agent for UGA Cooperative Extension in Cook County, and gets up every morning at some ungodly hour.

This week we examine the immediate aftermath of Elijah's triumph at Mt. Carmel. Where's the rain? This week our guest is Matt Mouser. Matt is a native Nashvillian (TN) who graduated from Welch College and pastors at First Free Will Baptist in Columbus, GA.

The moment you have been waiting for, The Showdown on Mt. Carmel is here! Listen in as we delve into this famous encounter from scripture with our special guest: Kenny Sexton. Kenny pastors at Satilla Baptist in Wray, GA, is a graduate of both Valdosta State and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is a regional director of The Bonhoeffer Project.

How about some love for the teachers?!?! First we discuss our favorite teachers from our school days. Afterwards we look at the miraculous story of Elijah and the Widow's son and recap stories of resurrection in the Scriptures.

Have you ever thought about your ideal last meal? After discussing ours, we advance Elijah's narrative to his meeting with the Widow in Sidon and discuss droughts in scripture and what we can learn from the Widow's simple faith.

While looking at the beginning of Elijah's public ministry, we discuss Pastor Shane's missed career as a DJ, college football expectations, and the "ruthless elimination of hurry" in God's setting apart of Elijah.

Can't Stand the Weather? After discussing the climates of the various places we've lived, this week look at being sober-minded, the other-worldliness of holiness, and we spend a few minutes discussing Bible translations in a world of abundance.
