We discuss his training with many stronger pullers in the NY tristate area to progress in a relatively short period of time. He tells us what he's been doing to get to his current level, what tips he's been told by different pros as their secrets to gain the strength to win, what popular opinions he disagrees with, what his own philosophies are about improvement on the table, and why the sport is just not that complicated as some people make it out to be in recent years.

Armwrestling Is Weird
Standard gym strength training and hypertrophy training requires deliberate omission of the movements involved in armwrestling specific training, so typically a very impressive looking barbell trained person will not be trained for the sport of armwrestling. Deliberately adding unnecessary hand and wrist movements, or doing gym lifts wrong, is the beginning of armwrestling specific training other than simply pulling with others on the table.
