They take a look at the helmet of Salvation, which is referred to by Paul as “the hope of salvation.“ They refer to the miraculous fact that we serve a living God who not only died for our sins but also rose from the dead. Looking at the transfiguration on the mount we see how it illustrates our hope of salvation. And finally, they warmly remind listeners that we are passing through this world on route to our everlasting home up in heaven.
