Kicking off spooky season in the Throne Room, I invited returning guests Dakota and Daniel back on in to my humble abode to discuss opening weekend of HHN30 and our initial thoughts on what we experienced. We found a new queer icon in some singing mushrooms, figured out Beetlejuice is basically the Deadpool of theme parks and in the end wrote an entire thesis on why theme parks are the gayest places on Earth. HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!! 

Welcome to the 1st Annual Pride Month Throne Room Extravaganza! We are kicking it off by talking about some of our favorite or essential picks of queer cinema. Whether actually LGBTQ+ or just an imperative part of the culture, we are covering it for a comprehensive look at queer cinema. VIP loyal royals Jordan, Kay and Rachel returned to the Throne Room to talk about all of it. We delved into important discussions such as why The Mummy is THAT bisexual film, the existence of Luke Evans's Cher album, why Poison Ivy needs to be a Black woman and the usual Jordan/Timmy Taika Waititi insert. It is the queerest of content you've been waiting for and it's only just begun!

This week in the Throne Room, I invited new loyal royal and long-time internet friend, Lia over to talk about the Emerald Fennell-directed, Carey Mulligan and Margot Robbie-helmed film, Promising Young Woman (2020). We engaged in a long discussion/review about/of the film, talking up our favorite scenes and the importance of a film like this, alongside discussions of the future of film and cinema, particularly in terms of distribution (streaming services vs. the actual cinema). In usual fun fashion, we went off on tangents about how Paris Hilton's music career deserved better, how goddamn confusingly charming Bo Burnham is and that maybe Amy Adams is better off living her life Oscar-less while we still stan. Listen for a really fun romp into a very serious film that is a must-see in this post-MeToo world. Happy New Year! Here's the Throne Room's toast to 2021: Throne Room Regular Lawrence, newcomer Jodi and myself sat down to discuss our favorite albums of 2020. Those wonderful bits of music that got us through the turd fest that is 2020. Expect a bit of shade thrown at many a stan along with Scooter Braun & Justin Bieber. 

(CW: sexual themes & language and use of the f-slur) In the Throne Room today, I’ve invited my bestest and gayest loyal royals, Lawrence, Rodney & Scott, to discuss the toxicity and bigotry of “gay male culture” or just “gay culture” as we deem it. We both take on topics such as racism and misogyny within the mlm community but also fall into talking about being “holes” for the likes of Chris Evans and Henry Cavill. You’ll soon discover anything can happen in the Throne Room but all with the intent to uncover the accepting, loving and tolerant world underneath the mess.
