I saw Alien in the theaters in 1979 when I was 8. I asked my mom recently, "why in the hell would you take me to see that as a kid (she hates horror and that was an intense and dark movie)?" Her response was that I wouldn't stop nagging during commercials so she took me to shut me up. My favorite classic is Creature From the Black Lagoon. I LOVE creature horror - there's something about the fear of being stalked and eaten.
