Day Trips to several National Parks on a 10-Day Road Trip. And my favorite spot wasn't even on our list. It's often the spontaneous places you find en route that capture your heart. It was just a lovely reservoir at sunset where we stopped for 5 minutes. It was so peaceful and beautiful.

I thought I might wish I had done Parasailing alone for it to be more peaceful but it was fun sharing the excitement with someone and was still peaceful and beautiful!

I forgot to mention having ice is another thing I take for granted about living in a house. I hate the idea of paying for ice, but I might have to get over that. I'll still try to make sure to freeze my ice packs when I stay with other people.

Painting can be therapeutic...or it can be frustrating. Either way, it keeps me from scrolling my phone for a while. And I actually love how my shelf turned out!

Years ago, I wrote a blog post titled "I'm Engaged." I included a picture of my hand with my grandmother's anniversary ring on it. The article was inspired by Bob Goff's book, Love Does, and it was about being engaged with life. Months later, a friend I made through work told me she started wearing a ring to remind her that she's engaged to life...because of my little ole blog post that I didn't think was making much of a difference. Falling in love with life is a grand adventure!

Sometimes having fun is miserable, but we still choose to have fun or at least try.

Why don't we do fun things like this more often? I think I need a sibling to conspire with me on this one.

I usually try to avoid obsessions, but this one has me wanting to start a whole new career in interior design. 😂 It's a fun little adventure I can add to my daily or weekly routine.

Have you ever invited a stranger to your house? I tell you my experience with that in this episode. But that's because I don't know many people in my new town. This is still a great adventure even if you invite people you know. Find something you love, and make a little event of it: quilting, painting, coffee, reading, writing, baking...so many possibilities!

Sometimes I can't believe I really did this. But I have no regrets. This was such a fun trip! It can be hard to find other people who are really dedicated to going backpacking, especially if they've never been and don't have gear or know what they're getting into.
