A crypto podcast hosted by Rizzle and joined weekly by Matthew and Trislit as well as other special guests. Most of the conversations center around NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and the passionate community that has sprung up around them. The team dives into everything from art, gaming, blockchain technology, and how to bring all that together in the metaverse.
Rizzle, Matthew, and Trislit recap last week's WIP along with the staggering amount of projects that the team has taken on over the course of the coming months. The Rendar Art project, Guerilla Radio, #Pranksyland, and the Metalympics are all on the short list of collaborations, on top of a second WIP meetup being held at a time convenient for the Asia-Pacific crowd. Rizzle's ego shows no signs of slowing up, while Trislit humors him and Matthew plays along.
Max discusses his journey through the cryptoart world and life itself. This is a deep dive into the rapid rise, the quick fall, and the re-emergence of one of the most prominent and controversial figures in the Art World. What starts off as a conversation about art ends the reexamination of why we are all doing this in the first place.
Rizzle, Trislit and Matthew find themselves on the heels on another wildly successful WIP meetup and begin prepping for several more sponsored events involving Pranksy, Nonfungerbils, Rendar Art, and the Metalympics. The WIP crew is gearing up to make all of these resounding successes as they continue to build their resume and create a full lineup of unique Metaverse experiences.
Rizzle, Matthew, and Trislit recap the last week's tremendously successful WIP meetup and drop the news about the creation of the Metalympics - a cross-dimensional competition with a series of weekly qualifying events leading up to the main event. There are a lot of fun details to plan and coordinate, and a call is made for the listeners to contribute with their skills and ideas. One thing that is for certain is that TokenSmart has hired Voxel Architects - the premier building team of the metaverse - to create an absolutely massive 21 parcel Metalympic build for this event.
Rizzle sits down with John Crain, Charles Crain, and Jon Perkins to discuss the background of their family business SuperRare. The group talks about the moments that it all came together, the lessons learned along the way, and spitball about outlandish scenarios. This is a fun episode that gives listeners a peek into the lives and philosophies of the people behind this revolutionary company. It contains tremendous nuggets of big-picture wisdom, surrounded by one too many mustache jokes.
Rizzle, Trislit and Matthew return from their break to drop the first episode of Season 2. A lot has changed since they started recording these podcasts and the WIP has gone from an exercise in technical support and damage control, to high demand well-polished metaverse events that show no signs of slowing down. This was a great episode for the crew to circle back together and speculate how to best utilize all of the assets moving forward while delivering the best and most fun experience for everyone at our events.
Rizzle, Trislit, and Matthew sit down for their weekly recap of another successful WIP experience/experiment featuring our first field trip into Mozilla Hubs. Everyone seemed to be prepared for the worst, but after coming out unscathed and on top we collectively set our sights on a huge upcoming WhaleShark Sponsored WIP. Towards the end of the podcast Matthew takes the WIP vision 10 steps further with a not-so-far-off vision of where we can take this project with his new fan fiction, "The World Wide WIP."
Rizzle, Matthew, and Trislit recap the most recent WIP at AlottaMoney's build and quickly start looking ahead to what comes next. This week's WIP event will boast another 1st for the WIP Squad in attempting to bring the entire party across the metaverse to the new TokenSmart build in Mozilla Hubs. Rather than striving for perfect events, the trio agrees they would rather continue to push the limitations of the space and assume the associated risks.
Rizzle sits down with EZ to talk about his background and how he became such a prominent figure in #NFTland. EZ is pervasive in this space, whether it is through his community endeavors, artwork, podcasts, or all-around presence at every prominent event humanly possible to attend. This was a fascinating glimpse into the current life of EZ including thoughts on where he wants to take all this momentum.
Rizzle, Matthew, and Trislit recap the pros and cons of last week's incredibly fun and unique WIP experience at the MarbleCards parcel. Not only has the WIP squad expanded significantly over the course of the past few weeks, they have also progressed in many ways including new builds, capabilities, and the first fully sponsored WIP at AlottaMoney's Voxel Hotel. As the WIP events continue to grow cross-platform more people have reached out to participate in their own way, especially now that there are a significant amount of eyeballs on this evolving phenomenon.
Rizzle, Matthew, and Trislit recount the success of InfiNFT launch and the controversy that ensued. As our events continue to grow and we have more people reaching out to us for custom events, we realize that we have some very basic branding issues. We kick around a lot of ideas for paths forward, and a $whale offer is extended to any audience members who are able to contribute their skills or ideas to our projects.
Rizzle and WhaleShark sit down to talk about a little bit of everything.
A day in the life of WhaleShark,
Philosophy on life and business,
Going with the flow of the community,
Long terms goals,
Helping those most vulnerable,
Solving timeless problems in the art community,
The outside chance that we've encountered each other on the basketball court 15 years ago, and
Alt title: Turning Garbage into Gold. Matthew, Trislit and Rizzle rehash the near catastrophe of this week's WIP event leading into N0Shot's shoe launch. What started with CryptoVoxels crashing and our entire setup being inaccessible turned into an amazing pivot by the WIP Squad into one of our most memorable events yet, and helped deliver a massive shoe launch for N0Shot. As our team continues to receive an outpouring of support from the community, we set our sights on adding a wider variety of experiences attached to the WIP. Early guest appearance from Trislit's discord notifications.
What started off as Rizzle attempting to get these community leaders on the same podcast to provoke a fight for soundbites, quickly turned into one of the most fascinating and relevant conversations to have happened recently in the cryptoart scene and NFTland. Everything is put on the table while we discuss multiple definitions of Trashart, The Journey of Artists, Copyright, Censorship, Decentralization, Jim's rants, What artists do/do not care about, and solving problems that artists have had for centuries with better NFTs and Smart Contracts.
An attempt to recap this week's WIP event leading into the Virtual Rare Arts Festival led to a much deeper conversation about the need for human contact and feeling connected to other people at our events. With another extremely successful WIP meetup under our belts, we are gaining confidence to take on larger ideas. Cross-platform WIP events? Podcast viewing/listening parties? We got the basics down so now we keep pushing ✊
Matthew, Trislit, and Rizzle recap the resounding success of the Ethereal Summit Fire Side Chat and the 'almost kinda sorta' resounding success of this week's WIP meetup. We joke about audio PTSD, putting Dragonate in a box, and take a serious look forward to the Rare Art's Festival that we're stoked to kick off at next week's WIP meetup.
In this episode @Trislit, @Matthew and @Rizzle recap this week's WIP meetup. Now that we broke triple digits in attendance we are setting our sights forward to our collaboration with the Ethereal Summit next week. We talk a lot about "Eventness," and shifting the focus from perfectly recreating real-world events to embracing the unique culture that sets our community apart.
@Rizzle and @Matthew talk about the epic community flex that occurred at this week's WIP meeting. Our "scaled back" event still drew a gigantic crowd, but through everyone coming together we were finally able to stick the landing in CryptoVoxels and pull off an almost flawless event. We recap the great presentations given by @n0shot @sinkas and @nissla, as well as the endless possibilities moving forward. Too many thank yous to @dragonate, but also not enough. We wrap up with some behind the scenes conversations about the huge launch of Cent 2.0 and Avastars.
A lot of shoutouts in this episode while @Trislit, @Matthew, and @Rizzle recap the rough start and the solid finish to this week's event. We scheme for a better afterparty experience involving smaller breakout sessions for the presenters. @Matthew makes a plea to @cryptovoxels for audio assistance and @Rizzle fires some friendly shots at @Conlon
The crowds of our virtual meetups are scaling faster than the platforms can keep up with, and @Rizzle is getting annoyed. We review strategies to continue to take these events to the next level, and how to best hype up the upcoming Covid-19 Charity Auction that is being organized by @AsyncArt. We discuss several presentations that occurred at this week's meetup, and the call is put out for @Matthew to join the TokenSmart Podcast 🔥🔥🔥
In this podcast, Jim sits down with Rizzle to briefly explain what else we’re doing while we gear up for the highly anticipated launch of Avastars. We discuss the community we have built for #nftland called TokenSmart, our new decentralized minting platform InfiNFT, and the prominent role nft42 expects to play in the rapid expansion of NFT technologies.
Yesterday the three of us sat down to record the 3rd Episode of the TokenSmart podcast. As always it was a great conversation about the ever-evolving quest for perfect virtual meetups. @J1mmy puts out a call for artists to test out a NEW decentralized minting platform and gives an update on @Avastars exciting release. We give props to @Ezincrypto for taking out the trash.
Shoutouts and mentions in episode: @matthew @piandex @ezincrypto @daorecords @robnesscyberpop @cryptoweiners @whaleshark @sandbox @jin @somniumspace @decentraland @coindesk @cointelegraph
@J1mmy @Trslist and @Rizzle discuss the past week's virtual meetups and events. We talk about what has worked, what has not worked, and what we are building. @Rizzle asks @J1mmy to discuss his controversial post earlier in the week about trash art. Then Jim takes out the trash 🔥🔥🔥
