Twist and the Cut

Twist and the Cut

Contracts and rules abound in the world of magic, as words become deeds through force of will. Lawyers have their own form of binding magic, and laws bind people and civilizations, even when those people and civilizations are thousands of years old. This story is best read with ginger-nut cookies by your side.

Twist and the Cut is from my book of short stories, Draw Back the Bow. If you like science fiction and fantastic stories, you'll love this book. Only $4.99 on Apple Books! https://books.apple.com/us/book/draw-back-the-bow/id1517241460. It is also available on Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/Draw-Back-Bow-Short-Stories-ebook/dp/B08R3H3LSR/ All purchase you make help me create more and better works.

The Beast's Redemption

The Beast's Redemption

From the upcoming book Let Fly the Arrow. In the story of Snow White & Rose Red, the two children find a bear dying in the winter cold, and bring it into their house. They nurse it back to health, and find the bear is an enchanted prince. Having been a bear, and a prince, I understood the story.

I have to say, I look back at my years of enchantment, and find the kingdom I grew up in gone, and claw marks ravaged many I encountered. Perhaps I will have the time to try to undo some of the damage.

Let Fly the Arrow is my upcoming book of poems from Long Sky Media. You can find my companion book of stories, Draw Back the Bow, on Apple Books and Kindle.

The Case of the Missing Light, Part I

The Case of the Missing Light, Part I

For the next story I'm doing it as an audiobook. That is the joy of being your own boss. Of course I still need to get those Lucky Snakes ads in! Sam goes on an unusual date at Playland by the Beach, before having a strange case land in his lap.

Thank you to all my listeners through 2020. New Year's resolution time! in 2021 I plan to:

Put these episode up on YouTube

FINALLY get the website going

And do something with the Patreon website. I'd love to release the scripts there.

All while doing my day day job and running the movie company and holding on to my day job until we get universal health care! Aim High in 2021!

The Last Link

The Last Link

A quick palate cleanser from my book, Draw Back the Bow, following last week's epic finale, and the week before's huge meal. A very short 3 minute story of hatred, love, loss, and the inevitability of seltzer down your pants.

I set this to release, but it never did. So now it’s a Christmas gift. Not sure what I'll be doing for the week between Christmas and New Year's. But I'll try to find something fun.

If you like science fiction and fantastic stories, you'll love this book. Only $4.99 on Apple Books! https://books.apple.com/us/book/draw-back-the-bow/id1517241460. The book is also now available on Kindle.

I am proud to have music in this episode from my friend Jon Hammond, jazz keyboardist extraordinare. He was kind enough to let me use Jennifer's Song. Jon is a master on the keys, and will tickle your earbones with great music. Check his webpage: https://jonhammondband.com, and on iTunes: https://music.apple.com/us/artist/jon-hammond/4308313

The Sound and the Puree

The Sound and the Puree

I released this for Thanksgiving week as a celebration of food and music. Unfortunately The servers crashed, and it wasn't released on time. But, here we go! This is another story from my book of short stories, Draw Back the Bow. It's a hard Science Fiction/comedy story, and I'm pretty proud of this one. So you know, it's more PG/R than G, in that there's some mention of the fact that we inhabit delightfully human bodies.

If you like science fiction and fantastic stories, you'll love this book. Only $4.99 on Apple Books! https://books.apple.com/us/book/draw-back-the-bow/id1517241460.

The Case of the Silky Chanteuse

The Case of the Silky Chanteuse

Introducing Sam Shovel, Private Eye. This gem ran for six seasons on the KFSR radio network. Of note, this episode, and many others, were written by a young Lafayette Knucklekeister III, who went on to success with the screenplays for We Slept at Dawn, Cage on a Hot Tin Cat, and his Oscar-winning effort, High-Midnight, in 1957. We are proud to present this series in its entirety. Please subscribe & review so we can present this to as many listeners as possible.

The website for KingfisherRadioHour.com is not yet up. But if you feel the need to show your support, my Patreon site is https://www.patreon.com/KingfisherTalkingPictures.
