Shattering Glass Ceilings ~ The Black & Brown Series Podcast

By Tonya Irby-Langley

This podcast aims to educate and equip parents, caregivers, families, educators, and service providers on the front line with a more hands-on/culturally understanding in approaching the complexities of ADHD in the black and brown community.
The intent of the information shared on this platform is in NO WAY designed to exclude any ethnic group or race but to create a space for inclusion and cultural awareness while looking at the WHOLE person, often overlooked in traditional learning centers and treatment environments. This time in our history, not only is it needed, but it is vital.

These are educational services that are awarded to students with disabilities to make up for services that they lost because of your school district's inability to provide an appropriate educational placement under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). It's a compensation fund to help your child "catch up" or stay in alignment with your child's education plan when the school district is not sticking to the script as define by FAPE.....
