Behind The Speakers (BTS) Why do you need good quality audio
Thoughts on why podcasts need good quality audio, and how to achieve it.   Why you need good quality audio One of the biggest turn offs when you listen to new podcasts is the audio quality.  Within the first few seconds, you can tell that the audio has been recorded badly and most of the time it is really a tune out factor.  Quality audio indicates how you properly made the show.  You won`t impress a woman with soiled clothing.  Audio quality should be taken seriously. What do top ranking podcast shows all have in common?  They all sound like they’ve been recorded well with a consistent standard in audio quality. Dialogue is clear and without distractions, sound effects have  been tastefully used, and background music is appropriately mixed in. (One proper flow) High quality audio doesn’t distract audience from the content of the show, it welcomes them in and aids your listener to tune in more. How to achieve quality audio Quality sounding podcast starts with recording.  But before you even press record, it’s important to make sure to record in a controlled and quiet as possible.  This is the first thing you should do. *The best microphone is the right one for the job at hand. Different strokes for different folks. *After  recording comes Proof listening, Editing, Post-production. Cure the  unnecessary sound nuances in your mix. *Spicing up the flavor. FX layouting, Background music mixdown, Audio enhancement, Remember, high quality audio should be the standard.   Your listeners will appreciate it much.
