This month we let Jack M loose on his favourite topic of Rheumatology, he brought in Mike Dare - a fellow Rheumatology Physio - to help him navigate the grey of recognising rheumatology conditions and referring them onwards. They tried to keep it as close as possible to experiences within MSK clinics to help clinicians apply the information to their clinics.

Something a little different this month as we bring you one of the sessions from #TheBigRs conference 2019. We always look for some new ideas to bring to a conference roster and this year we introduced what we called a "sparring session". Jack and Giles discuss some points of contention in the MSK world, inevitably touch on some of the pros and cons of First Contact Physios and how the whole industry can move forwards fo the betterment of patient care.

We just cant stop, who else do you know that puts out 4 podcasts and runs a conference in the month of October?
We made use of Tom Jesson again before he left for America and with our packed Podcast schedule we did not want this one to get delayed. Narrative based medicine is something many of us think we do but don't do well. John and Tom have an amazing conversation which will change your practice no matter what your experience or specialism.
Check out everything MSKReform here
Want these conversations to keep coming? We need your help!! Support the show here: Even £1 will keep the adverts away and the show on the air.

Joletta Belton has become synonymous with aticulate presentation of a "patients" experience. We first had her over to the UK to present at 2018 #TheBigRs conference and fittingly the day after 2019s conference closes here she is in yet another unmissable episode of Patient Matters.
Follow Joletta on Twitter @mycuppajo Jack @JackAChew and the team @TPMPodcast
With one week before #TheBigRs 2019 we wanted to bring to you a special treat. The audio from Martin Ong'wen's amazing keynote speech. It was absolutely mindblowing which you will gather from the amount of applause Martin receives.
As this was recorded live the mics topped out on occasion so forgive us for that.
Check out this years conference on the hashtag #TheBigRs, go an immediately follow Martin on twitter @ongwenmartin we are imminently launching Physio Matters Africa, a podcast with Martin aimed at improving Physiotherapy standards across Africa, support Martin in this endeavour with shares, likes and retweets!!
This month we take advantage of Tom Jesson before he abandons us to move across the Atlantic, he interviews Diarmaid Denneny the Chair of the Physiotherapy Pain Association and pain management physio! A perfect choice for us to let Tom loose on to ask all the questions he could think of to make us all better physios at managing pain!
It really is irrelevant the setting that you work in, there is something in this podcast for everyone. From mindfulness to pacing via the opioid epidemic...

We power on with our Health Matters podcast episodes kindly funded by those Kickstarted legends earlier in 2019! This month we talk a tricky subject with Alistair Beverley - Physiotherapy and Learning Difficulties. We all know rapport is vital and this group of patients can be difficult for us to interact with! If you think you won't learn a ton from this YOU ARE SO WRONG.
As usual get back to us with any feedback, questions and ideas on social media or email us at Physiomatters@chewshealth.co.uk

Wee, poop, a little bit on sex and a whole host of amazing clinical information this month with Elaine Miller, probably better known as Gussie Grips. Elaine's take on getting education to the masses is certainly unique but should it be?
Continence and the urinary system are underrepresented in undergrad degrees and physios lack confidence in this incredibly important area which causes distress and embarrassment to many of the population. Strap-in this podcast will be a serious learning curve.

As ever, let's keep nattering! Share your thoughts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @TPMPodcast

Tom takes us through the history of "sciatica", the nomenclature of descriptions and a host of other clinical gems which will guarenteed change either your understanding or clinical practice (or in our case both)

We launch the Health Matters Podcast! This first session contains great friend of the show Mike James the Endurance Physio, you will likely have seen him on some of our materials on facebook from the COPA Show.
Mike discusses the MSK professions and it gets spicey as he and Jack debate the prominence of Physio in this space, if this is deserved and what can be done to improve the overall landscape of quality interprofessional collaboration. Brilliant chat and loads to learn or reflect upon.

This month's Physio Matters is wall to wall gold. Everyone's favourite interviewer, Felicity Thow, looks to put the rest of us out of a job by once again using her experiences at the Pain Cloud conference to select and grill a guest. This time Neil O'Connell. Covering the perfections and pitfalls of evidence, Neil helps us to become better "consumers" of evidence. Something that as part of a science based profession we can never stop improving in!
