I've been hijacked! The show has been taken over by therapist extraordinaire Mrs. Kizzy Chambers, and she turned the tables on yours truly. Normally i am the one asking the questions, but she held my feet to the proverbial fire and conducted a no holds barred interview that sheds light on the nexus of the String of Destiny podcast. You get to take a peek behind the curtain and meet Mr. Wizard on the season 2 finale episode. If you haven't guessed by now: its me! Im Mr. Wizard on the season finale of the String of Destiny podcast.
s2ep10 #letstalkaboutguns
Too many times we sit in front of the television or listen to a news broadcast, or read a story about lives lost due to gun violence. All too many times those victims are children, the most innocent and vulnerable of us. Its time to stop being numb about this problem and start doing something. This episode explores things that are wrong and serves as a call to action.
s2ep09 #justlikemusic
Its the countdown to summer everybody! String of Destiny podcast is preparing to beat the heat with ice cold music talk. I enlisted the help of my dear friend Shauntai Arrington to assist me in chatting about some of our favorite music influences and why we love them so. I'll give you guys one guess as to who my greatest musical inspiration is. Hers isn't that easy; you'll just have to tune in and find out. We love music on the latest episode of the String of Destiny podcast.

s2ep08 Stevie Wonder #happybirhday2022
Happy birthday to ya! Happy birthday to ya! Happy birthday!!! On this episode we celebrate the genius of Mr. Steveland Morris with a cavalcade of hits that he either sang himself or wrote and produced for others to perform. You would be surprised how many artists sought Stevie for songs; luckily we have some of them here. After the episode, stay on Spotify and listen to the playlist. "What could fit more perfectly than to have a world party on the day you came to be?" Happy birthday Stevie! on this episode of the String of Destiny podcast.

s2ep07 #dearMomma
"Mothers are like glue. Even when you can't see them they're still holding the family together." Now that's not mine, it belongs to Susan Gale, but man does it describe the wonderful women highlighted on this episode. Its Mothers Day everybody! And we are celebrating moms and the children they inspired to become fabulous parents themselves. The episode culminates, for the first time on record, with me and my mom, Mrs. Linda "Boss" Ross in a very candid conversation about motherhood that you don't want to miss. Happy Mothers Day to all on the latest episode of the String of Destiny podcast!

s2ep05 Poet1Deep #whoprotectstheBlackMan
String of Destiny podcast rolls on with a spotlight on Poetry Appreciation month. In celebration, my dearest friend, Poet1Deep, better known as Patrick Harris stopped by to peel the layers back on the duality of Patrick/Poet1Deep. We discuss his struggle overcoming anxiety, his music career, and how his life informs his poet alter ego. We talk about the liberty in his art when he realized he was in fact, an artist. Filled with warmth, humor, and a poignant reminder of the rift that exists between Black men and women, and what is needed to close that divide. The episode concludes with an example of his brilliance in the form of a spoken word piece that you don't wanna miss. Putting Orlando poets on the map, Poet1Deep is my guest on the latest episode of the String of Destiny podcast.
s2ep04 Lashonda Geffrard #PawsofHope
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, the String of Destiny podcast is proud to present Mrs. Lashonda Geffrard! If this sounds like a bark for a hack circus, that's because Lashonda is the ring master. Whether its taming savage(but cute)beasts in her pet grooming shop, juggling her business with all of her various charitable endeavors, and as if by magic being a loving and devoted wife and mother of three, including her eldest who was born with autism, she assumes many roles. Not only that, but I am proud to call her my friend. She drops a line to the show, and we discuss how she keeps it all together while striving to do more, like starting her own podcast this spring, and I cant wait. I get by with a little help from my friends, on the latest String of Destiny podcast.
s2ep03 Peggy Tatum & Amanda Mandy #TheGutPatrol
Happy Women's History Month! In celebration of this occasion I am honored to welcome two boss women onto the show. Peggy Tatum is the C.E.O. of The Connection Place, a resource depot for small businesses to network and grow, and the editor in chief of its corresponding online magazine, TCP Magazine. Amanda Mandy is an artist, entrepreneur, medical researcher, Community Health Ambassador and co-founder of the health initiative The Gut Patrol. We talked about all things gastric related: upper and lower G.I. issues, ulcers, bleeds, etc. Ms. Mandy also stressed the importance of early screening and awareness of colorectal cancer. Not only did Peggy inform us of a health fair happening later this month attended by Amanda and her health team, but she regaled us with some rather remarkable exploits accomplished by Ms. Mandy. We also talk about poop. At once informative, evocative as well as entertaining, Peggy and Amanda are the strong and empowering women on this episode of the String of Destiny podcast.
s2ep02 Dr. Alzo Reddick #payitforward
Its quite refreshing that I still can be blown away by people. Such is the case with my latest guest. Dr. Alzo Reddick, at the youthful age of 84. is a dynamo. His accolades are numerous: first Black male teacher at Winter Park high school, first Black administrator at Rollins College, both local Central Florida institutions, and he became the first Black man from Orlando voted into the state House of Representatives. But listening to the good doctor speak he will remind you that he only stands this tall because he is standing on the shoulders of the people who came before him. A gifted storyteller with decades of insight, he takes us on a journey through race, politics and activism. Poignant, inspiring, and even funny, Dr. Alzo Reddick blesses the microphone on this Black History episode of the String of Destiny podcast.
s2e01 Senator Geraldine Thompson #WellsBuilttolast
Back like we never left!! Its a new season, and to kick off season 2, I get to speak to a senator! That's right, Sen. Geraldine Thompson stops by for a quick visit. I caught up with the Florida lawmaker between sessions to discuss her involvement in the Wells' Built Museum of African American History in Orlando. We had a great discussion on Central Florida history, the role the area played in the Civil Rights struggle, and the founding of the Wells' Built hotel, which later became the museum. She also informs me on the connection the Wells' Built has with a particular Hollywood movie starring an Oscar winning actor. Its Black History Month, and we take a trip to 511 W. South street in Orlando, FL on this episode of the String of Destiny podcast.
ep06 Reggie Sconiers #whatspastisprologue
Happy Fathers Day! String of Destiny would like to celebrate the men who matter; fathers that are bound by blood, and those men who assume a father figure role in the lives of all they touch. Apropos to the occasion, my father, Reverend Reggie Sconiers graced me with his presence in the lab. We discussed his upbringing and indoctrination into music. He enlightens us on how the Lord helped him overcome addiction and the things he learned to help him be a father, and man that matters. Plus, if you guys are really good, I'll let you hear him sing. We salute Fathers on the latest episode of the String of Destiny podcast.
ep05 Marissa Mannetta #inhalethefutureexhalethepast
bonus ep Stevie Wonder #happybirthday
Its that time of year again! I'm celebrating all things Stevie Wonder on his 71st birthday with a list of my top 10 Stevie Wonder albums of all time. Did I hear you say you love me? Yes you did on this bonus episode of the String of Destiny podcast!

ep04 Kizzy Chambers #minoritiesshouldntfearprofessionalhelp
Its Mental Health Awareness Month, so to help us tackle such a complex issue, I have invited Kizzy Chambers to the lab. Mrs. Chambers is a licensed social worker, clinician and psychotherapist. We discuss mental health as a whole, and specific areas such as the lack of diverse representation available with therapists. There's also conversations about the trappings that deter Black and Brown people from seeking help, and what role Jesus plays in the equation(and believe me, he does play a role). She also provides phone numbers and websites to assist in finding the help you need. She's not a Dr. but she plays one on the latest episode of the String of Destiny podcast.
ep03 Joseph Carattini #staystrong
ep02 Shannon McCrimmon: #eachdayisagift
Today's guest is a special friend of mine. After meeting in high school, she went on to be an incredible wife, successful self published author, and a high school guidance counselor. We discuss the inspiration behind her writing, dealing with a life changing diagnosis, and how the pandemic has shaped her outlook {here's a hint: #eachdayisagift}. Shannon McCrimmon is my guest today.
