Alexey Strygin is the Chief Digital Health Officer of Gero.ai and is leading Gerosense.ai, a digital biomarker for measuring biological age and enabling digital trials in humans at a drastically lower cost. Previously Alexey served as co-founder and CEO of Gray Matter. This company was developing therapeutic peptides solving age-related cognitive decline and longevity, CEO of Cryno Biotech, a company developing a novel GLP-1 agonist. GERO is a biotechnology company using physics-based generative models on human health record datasets, combined with AI-guided drug design, to develop transformative interventions for aging and age-related diseases. Major Gen. (Res.) Professor Isaac Ben-Israel joined the Israel Air Force (IAF) after graduating high school (1967) and has served continuously up to his retirement (2002). During his service, Isaac Ben-Israel has held several posts in operations, intelligence and weapon development units of the IAF. He headed the IAF Operations Research Branch, Analysis and Assessment Division of IAF Intelligence, and was the Head of Military R&D in Israel Defence Forces and Ministry of Defence (1991-1997). In January 1998 he was promoted to Major General and appointed as Director of Defence R&D Directorate in IMOD. During his service he received twice the Israeli Defence Award. After retirement from the IDF Isaac Ben Israel joined the University of Tel-Aviv as a professor and was the head of Curiel Centre for International Studies (2002-2004), the head of the Program for Security Studies (2004-2007), Executive Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Technological Analysis & Forecasting at Tel-Aviv University (ICTAF) (2010-2013), Deputy Director of the Hartog School of Government and Policy in Tel-Aviv University (2005-2015) and a member of Jaffe Centre for Strategic Studies (2002-2004). In 2002 he founded and headed the Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of Ariel University Centre (2009-2011), and a member of the advisory council of Neaman Institute for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology at the Technion (2000-2010). Professor Ben-Israel was a member of the 17th Knesset (Israeli Parliament) between June 2007 and February 2009. During this period he was a member of the Security and Foreign Affairs Committee, the Finance Committee, the Science & Technology committee, the Chairman of the Homeland Security Sub Committee and the Chairman of the Israeli–Indian Parliamentary Friendship Association. In 2011 he was appointed by the Prime Minister to lead a task force that formulated Israel national Cyber policy. Following that he founded the National Cyber Headquarters in the PM Office. In 2014 he was appointed again by the PM to lead another task force which resulted in a government decision (February 2015) to set up a new National Cyber Authority. A sociologist by training, her work centers on the data used in new computational technologies, and the ways in which these data exacerbate racial, gender, and class inequality. She also works in the area of social movements, focusing on the dynamics of anti-racist campus protest in the US and Canada. Dr. Hanna has published widely in top-tier venues across the social sciences, including the journals Mobilization, American Behavioral Scientist, and Big Data & Society, and top-tier computer science conferences such as CSCW, FAccT, and NeurIPS. Dr. Hanna serves as a co-chair of Sociologists for Trans Justice, as a Senior Fellow at the Center for Applied Transgender Studies, and sits on the advisory board for the Human Rights Data Analysis Group and the Scholars Council for the UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry. #neuroscience #brainorganoid #precisionmedicine TOWARDS PREDICTING STRUCTURE FUNCTION RELATION IN BRAIN ORGANOIDS Professor Jen Schwarz is a theoretical physicist grappling with such questions as: How does one build a multiscale, computational model for the structure of a developing organoid, such as a brain organoid? Can such a multiscale, computational model be used to understand how human-derived brain organoids are structurally different from chimpanzee-derived brain organoids? As organoids are accelerating the field of precision medicine, how, ultimately, can such a multiscale, computational model assist in predicting what treatments would be most effective in a patient with a particular brain disease based on initial tests conducted on their own brain organoid? Moreover, Professor Schwarz is working towards unraveling the structure-function relationship in brain organoids by asking how brain organoids learn, otherwise known as organoid intelligence, and does the structure of a brain organoid affect its learning capability, i.e., its functionality? Given her physics background, she is also studying how physical systems, or nonliving systems made out of purely synthetic material, learn to uncover emergent, unifying principles of learning in both living and nonliving matter. Professor Jen Schwarz obtained her PhD from Harvard University in 2002, did postdoctoral work at Syracuse University, the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Pennsylvania, USA, before returning to Syracuse University to become a faculty member, where she is now a Professor of Physics. Some of Professor Schwarz's awards include a National Science Foundation CAREER Award (USA) in 2007 and an Isaac Newton Award for Transformative Ideas during the COVID Pandemic from the Department of Defense (USA) in 2020. Johns Hopkins researchers tout the promise of 'organoid intelligence,' which could one-day yield computers that are faster, more efficient, and more powerful than silicon-based computing and AI. Prof. Thomas Hartung is a professor of environmental health sciences at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Whiting School of Engineering. For nearly two decades scientists have used tiny organoids, lab-grown tissue resembling fully grown organs, to experiment on kidneys, lungs, and other organs without resorting to human or animal testing. More recently Hartung and colleagues at Johns Hopkins have been working with brain organoids, orbs the size of a pen dot with neurons and other features that promise to sustain basic functions like learning and remembering. Prof.Hartung began to grow and assemble brain cells into functional organoids in 2012 using cells from human skin samples reprogrammed into an embryonic stem cell-like state. Each organoid contains about 50,000 cells, about the size of a fruit fly's nervous system. He now envisions building a futuristic computer with such brain organoids. Computers that run on this "biological hardware" could in the next decade begin to alleviate energy-consumption demands of supercomputing that are becoming increasingly unsustainable, by scaling up the production of brain organoids and training them with artificial intelligence, he foresees a future where biocomputers support superior computing speed, processing power, data efficiency, and storage capabilities. Joshua Scigala is the Co-founder of TheStandard.io and Vaultoro.com. Joshua Scigala has worked in bitcoin since 2010 when Satoshi was still around. He was one of the first to implement the bitcoin protocol into a web service. Like many early bitcoiners, he fell victim to the first bitcoin exchange collapse called MtGox, which inspired him to invent the “glass books protocol” for exchange transparency. Joshua went on to launch and run the first bitcoin exchange Vaultoro.com to trade bitcoin and physical gold with radical transparency. 

He also worked in the background to help dislodge the bitcoin scaling stalemate and went on to launch the first implementation of the bitcoin lightning network on an exchange.  Joshua shared his thoughts on the potential impact of AI on the job market, and the challenges and opportunities presented by decentralised currencies. He also provided insight into the concept of stablecoins and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), and how they could potentially shape the financial landscape in the future.  

One topic that particularly stood out to me was Joshua's discussion on decentralised autonomous organizations (DAOs) and the potential for Web 3.0 to disrupt traditional financial systems. He also shared his thoughts on the recent FTX collapse and the future of the decentralized finance (DeFi) industry.  Overall, it was a fascinating conversation that offered a lot of food for thought on the future of money and the role of technology in shaping it. Dr. Brian Kennedy is internationally recognized for his research in the basic biology of aging and as a visionary committed to translating research discoveries into new ways of detecting, delaying, preventing, and treating human aging and associated diseases. He is a Distinguished Professor in Biochemistry and Physiology at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University Singapore (NUS) and serves as Director of (1) the Centre for Healthy Longevity at the National University Health System, (2) the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme and (3) the Asian Centre for Reproductive Longevity and Equality at NUS. Collectively, NUS aging research seeks to demonstrate that longevity interventions can be successfully employed in humans to extend the health span, the disease-free and highly functional period of life.

From 2010 to 2016, Brian was the President and CEO of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging and he maintained a professorship there through 2020. Brian has an adjunct appointment at the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Washington, where he was a faculty member from 2001 to 2010. In addition, he is also actively involved with a number of Biotechnology companies and serves as a Co-Editor-In-Chief at Aging Cell. His Ph.D. was performed in the laboratory of Leonard Guarente at M.I.T., where he published the first paper linking Sirtuins to aging. Dr. Brian is also the scientific Advisor for Rejuvant
