Rwanda beyond the gorillas
Forget the raw, authentic and traditional Africa. Rwanda is unlike other African countries – maybe even unlike any other country in the world. Come on a journey around this “land of a thousand hills”, beyond the incredible experience of gorilla trekking and discover what else Rwanda has to offer. From past to present, everything about this African country really inspired me, leaving me with a fire in my soul to want to be a better person and do better in the world.

The land of undiscovered in Papua New Guinea
It is hard not to be mystified by Papua New Guinea. It is a land that is untamed and wild in beauty, while diverse in unique culture. The country comprises about 600 small islands with only 13 percent of people living in urban areas. Papua New Guinea has more than 800 indigenous languages and approximately 312 different tribes, including some uncontacted peoples. From raw and diverse cultures and tribes on display at festivals to diving some of the most untouched and pristine waters in the world, come on a journey with me to Papua New Guinea and find out why I found this country so fascinating.

Welcome to Traveller Kate
Hey guys, Kate here. After spending the last 7 years working as a travel journalist, delivering features, stories and photography across print and online media I have now ventured into this realm of podcasting.
The essence of my work is story telling and what better way to do this than actually tell you my stories. I am lucky enough to have travelled in depth around the world, gathering memories and moments, connections and conversations and now, I am here to share these with you.
Traveller Kate is an outlet for my stories, and stories from some incredible people I have met along the way. I will share with you the moments that made me smile, made me cry and left an imprint on my soul forever. I bring in my passion projects across wildlife conservation, sustainable travel and those really cool eco-friendly places that actually care about our planet.
In sharing these stories, I hope that it will inspire you to get out of your comfort zone and go explore this world, but do so with a meaningful purpose and conscious heart.
I;m Kate and welcome to Traveller Kate
