Tristan Barrocks Presents Story Over Everything
By Tristan Barrocks
What would you say to the 17-year-old version of yourself? How would you feel? What would that conversation be like? What would be the one piece of advice you would give them?
These are the questions I ask every person who shares their story on the podcast. It's all about authenticity, transparency, and truth. We laugh and share the moments in our lives that helped to shape us into the individuals we are today.

Christina Gwira-SOE-02-004
Before being a girl boss was cool, Christina was hustling her way through high-school selling her Dad's calling cards for the family business. Even before then, Christina was always selling something or another on the playground in elementary school. Fast forward to a life-changing move from the United Kingdom to Canada, she became her own boss for the first time in 2009, without any business school or post-secondary education. This life-changing decision provided her with business lessons - both good and bad - that she is ever grateful to have learned and experienced. Now, she's currently running her 6-figure digital design firm NOYADESIGNS, has over 10 years of business acumen under her belt, over 1.5 million views on her Youtube channel Naturally Nerdful and a calling to NEVER allow another millennial boss go through the crap she went through starting out as a creative entrepreneur. Her mission is to to equip creative business owners with the tools and framework to build their business, ready to impact this digital age.

A.I. The Anomaly-SOE-02-002
Aitina Fareed Cooke "A.I. The Anomaly" was told at a young age that she would be a “failure to thrive” as a result of her biological mother's addiction to drugs. At 14 months old her and her siblings were placed in foster care. A.I. was just three years old when her mother died of a drug overdose. At six A.I. was introduced to writing as a way of releasing any pain due to trauma. She was told by a counselor to express herself through words. A.I. embraced this art and began to create stories and poems which later developed into music.
Despite the challenges of growing up without her biological mother and father, A.I. was blessed that her foster mother had a relationship with God and imparted that mindset to her. Although, it didn’t resonant immediately she found herself embracing scripture and desiring a closer walk with God. In her late teens, she tried to fill the voids in her life with many of life's temporary fixes.
Listen to her story as she takes us through some of the most important parts of her journey. I hope that you laugh, cry, and see a little of yourself in her story. Take a moment to write down your thoughts and feelings after listening to this episode. You can thank me later, lol!

SOE-006-Bart Anestin
I’m a designer and creative strategist for those who are attempting to navigate the ever changing digital landscape of our times and reach and engage and impact their tribe.
Most days you can find me enjoying my third cup of coffee in a Starbucks, with Photoshop pulled up.
I am mostly known for my work, design, brand alignment and strategic digital marketing, but I also secretly geek out on church growth and how big or successful churches make it all work.
When I’m not busy building my empire, you’ll find me at home chasing after my two kids and rewatching episodes of Seinfield for the upteenth time. #serenitynow

SOE-003-O'shane Howard
Growing up as a young, single, male child was tough. Loosing out on having his father in his life at a critical age was a struggle. Not having many places to feel embraced and understood was just another day being O'shane Howard.

SOE-002-Jodianne Beckford
Jodianne Beckford (goes by Jo) is a lifestyle commercial photographer who currently resides in Toronto, ON.
She gravitates to the contrasting beauty of black and white, but also loves incorporating rich colours and tones like gold, mustard yellows, nude tones, and soft mature palettes. Architecturally she loves simple, linear structures and types that clearly, yet beautifully conveys meaning. When architecture is muddled with complexity, timeless design is comprised.
Not only is she all of these amazing things, but she is my friend and little sister. I love and respect her voice in this culture. She represents both internal strength and the realities of being a misunderstood creative. I hope that her story changes you, challenges your perspectives, and gives you the motivation to share your story.
