Almost every style of martial arts has some type of rank system to help students and instructors track progress. Kickboxing is one of those styles that typically does not have any rank attached to it. My instructor has always said what gets measured gets results and what gets rewarded gets repeated. With this in mind we decided to figure out what it would look like to rank a kickboxer.

New students are the life blood of your DOJO. My instructor has always said if it does not happen on the mat it will never happen in the office. You will not enroll new students into your dojo if you are a joke on the mat. Being a salesman in the office does not overcome a sloppy job on the mat.
At the same time being a superstar on the mat does not overcome being sloppy in the office.

Troy Dorsey got started at the age of 11 in martial arts in Mansfield, Texas. At the age of 15 he got his Black Belt under Jim Choate and opened up his first Martial Arts School in 1981.
Master Dorsey went on to win 8 World Titles becoming one of the only fighters in history to hold a Professional World Title in Boxing and Kickboxing at the same time.
