We touch on most of the games in the event, discussing what we liked, what we didn't, what surprised us, and finally some predictions for the future.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Harry Potter RPG Leak and More
In last week's podcast notes, I mentioned that we had been tossing around the idea of switching from a solely TA focussed podcast to a TGN podcast, where we can discuss and debate all of the latest news and games from both Xbox and PlayStation. Thankfully, the feedback was positive, and so this week, we'd like to introduce you to the very first episode of the TGN podcast!   Joining me on this week's show are Ollie and Sam, as we share out thoughts on the newly released Assassin's Creed Odyssey and discuss what could be next for Ubisoft's long-running franchise, discuss the leaked Harry Potter RPG footage, marvel at the latest Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay trailer, and look at what's now available for free in October's Games with Gold and PS Plus offerings. 139: Forza Horizon 4, Telltale Layoffs, Fortnite Cross-Play and More
Welcome to episode 139 of the TrueAchievements podcast. Before we get into what we've covered on this week's show, we'd like to thank all of you that took the time to provide some feedback on the format of the show. The general consensus was that reading out long lists of new achievements and new releases were boring a low point, so we've made some changes this week to only discuss the bigger games and the ones that really interest us. We've also been swapping around some ideas internally, and one of the suggestions we thought might be worth exploring is switching from a solely TA focussed podcast to a TGN podcast, where we can discuss and debate all of the latest news and games from both Xbox and PlayStation. Of course, that would mean we'd mostly be covering the same things we normally would be as most of the big games are multi-platform, with the odd discussion around some PS4 exclusives thrown in for good measure. If you have any thoughts (both pros and cons) on this idea, please let us know in the comments below. With all that out of the way, let's get back to this week's episode. On this week's show, we give you the chance to win an Xbox One download code of your choosing from our giveaway sack (leave us a comment in the thread below to enter), we give you our impressions on Forza Horizon 4, we chat about last week's surprising news that Telltale have laid off the vast majority of its workforce, we cover all of the big announcements from the latest Inside Xbox stream, and Jack and Ollie dig holes in Construction Simulator 2. We also discuss the rest of this week's biggest news announcements, take a look at what we've been playing over the past seven days, chat about our ID@Xbox streams, look at the games coming our way over the next seven days, and answer your questions, including the question of the week.   Links: [UPDATED] Telltale Games Hit By Massive Layoffs Amid Speculation of Closure The Walking Dead: The Final Season Has Been Delisted, Called Temporary Telltale: Multiple Partners Have Offered to Help Finish The Walking Dead October Xbox Games With Gold Titles Announced October 2018's Xbox Game Pass Additions Announced Microsoft Announces X018, Promises Huge Announcements Mouse and Keyboard Game Support Coming to Xbox One Soon Sony Policy Changes Allow Fortnite Cross-Play Between PS4, Xbox One and Switch

TrueAchievements Episode 135 - Gamescom Special
We're back from another action-packed and hectic trip to Cologne, Germany, where we spent four days at Gamescom in developer sessions and getting hands-on time with some of the biggest games that will be releasing on the Xbox One in the coming months.    We saw so many games, that unlike previous years, we didn't even have a spare hour to record a show whilst we were over there. Unfortunately, that means the annual Gamescom special episode of the TA Podcast is a little later than usual, but hopefully, you'll enjoy listening to our thoughts on what we saw throughout our time at the show. Games Discussed in this Episode: Life is Strange 2 Just Cause 4 Forza Horizon 4 State of Decay 2 Shadow of the Tomb Raider Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 Spyro Reignited Trilogy Tom Clancy's The Division 2 Metro Exodus Trials Rising Big Crown: Showdown The Crew 2 For Honor RAGE 2 Dying Light 2 Ori and the Will of the Wisps Assassin's Creed Odyssey Wreckfest Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battlefield V Twin Mirror The Dark Pictures - Man Of Medan Cyberpunk 2077

Welcome to a very special episode of the TrueAchievements podcast, where for one show only, we switch the focus from the games that we've been playing and the news that's been breaking over the past week and instead celebrate a decade of TA with a trip down memory lane. With almost two hours of chat covering the highs, lows, challenges and rewards that running TA brings, this one episode of the podcast that any fan of the site really shouldn't miss.
