Before Tinder, there was the Lonely Hearts Club (not just a Beatles song) where you could sign up to meet potential spouses. Sounds just as sketchy as all other modern dating apps. Raymond "Ray" Fernandez started preying on these women who were lonely and vulnerable, one being Martha Beck. What started out as a scam for money, turned into a two-year love affair that ended with four known dead women and confessions of at least twenty more.
