It's October  1995 and a landline phone is ringing loudly in the newsroom of The Star news office building in Johannesburg. Lucy Mathews, a Star reporter hears the ringing and enters the room. Her Editor follows behind her. On the other end is a man who claims to be responsible for the ABC killings. Lucy needs to keep him talking long enough for the police to find him.

Someone is killing young black women and the task force is under pressure to solve the cases. Eva has a hunch about who the killer is and what he might do next.

Welcome to the very first episode of True Crime Naija.

Today, we bring you the story of Cynthia Osokogu, an ambitious young Nigerian lady who owned a clothing boutique store while completing her masters degree in Public Administration. And she would make frequent visits to Lagos to buy goods for her shop. She meets two men on Facebook who invite her to Lagos on the grounds that they will sell the goods at a cheaper rate to her. This would be Cynthia's last trip to Lagos.
