The Songs of The Prince of Egypt (Part 1)
THERE CAN BE MIRACLES... We have an odd relationship with The Prince of Egypt. The first half of the movie we have watched countless times together, but never the second half. It'll make more sense when we explain it in the episode. The movie is jam packed with songs, so this is a two-parter. Part One covers: "Deliver Us", "River Lullaby" and "All I Ever Wanted". Ben is doubling down on his "Shrek is not a classic" hot take, Dietrich is lazily comparing everything to Les Mis and Alex has watched Snackmasters. 2021 Academy Awards - Best Original Song (Part 2)
THE AWARD GOES TO... What did you make of the Oscars, then? In part 2 we finish our look through the Best Original Song category at the 2021 Academy Awards but fear not, Future Ben is here to let us know how we faired. Songs covered in this episode: "Io Si (Seen)" from The Life Ahead, "Speak Now" from One Night in Miami and "Hear My Voice" from The Trial of the Chicago 7. Warning: the episode contains high levels of Diane Warren fangirling (but how is that different to any other episode?) Dietrich can't believe what he's hearing, Alex does a pretty perfect impression of THAT La La Land blunder and Ben lets us know if Alex is a fool. 2021 Academy Awards - Best Original Song (Part 1)
AND THE NOMINEES ARE... The award season is in full swing but That Song From That Movie hasn't been consulted about the Best Original Song category?! That's an outrage. It's our bread and butter! Literally the concept of the podcast is movie songs. Therefore we've taken it into our own hands to breakdown all the songs nominated this year. On this episode, we start by covering the history of the Oscars. We then move onto the main event: "Husavik" from Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga and rounding out part 1, "Fight For You" from Judas And The Black Messiah. Alex prefers a jam Wagon Wheel to a plain Wagon Wheel, Ben speaks to us from the future and Dietrich hasn't got the Diane Warren jingle ready.  Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod Like, share, subscribe and La La Land. When She Loved Me - Toy Story 2
TO INFINITY... What better way to bring in the 2nd year of That Song From That Movie than returning to the franchise that started it all. Toy Story 2 introduces us to the character of Jessie, along with her heart-breaking backstory summed up by Sarah McLachlan's "When She Loved Me". The Songs of Role Models
KNOW ANY WINGS? Packed with one-liners, skits and references, Role Models stands above its mid-noughties buddy comedy peers. Nothing shows this more than the inclusion of Wings' classic "Love Take Me Down (To The Streets)". Along with this we had KISS songs aplenty! Dietrich respects the brackets at all times, Alex denies stealing sweets from Woolworths and Ben wants to LARP but only in secret. Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod Like, share and subscribe. The Songs of Godzilla (1998)
GODZILLA VS MATTHEW BRODERICK To celebrate the release of the new monster movie Godzilla Vs Kong, we are stepping back to the 90s to dissect America's first attempt at bringing the famous Japanese movie icon to the big screen: Godzilla. With a whole soundtrack of hits, we whittle them down to two: Puff Daddy's "Come With Me" and Jamiroquai's "Deeper Underground". Alex has watched ANOTHER Netflix documentary, Ben surprisingly associates the TV show Scrubs with Doctors and Dietrich doesn't understand what "Tin Whiskers" are. There You'll Be - Pearl Harbor
I THINK WW2 HAS JUST STARTED! Positively or negatively, World War Two love epic Pearl Harbor can be fully described as "Michael Bay explosion porn". And what comes with a sweeping love epic? An over the top ballad, of course! Penned by podcast favourite Diane Warren, Faith Hill sings "There You'll Be". Ben enjoys "gangly president man", Dietrich is keeping his finger on the TV pulse via Gogglebox and Alex is singing Hamilton again. Deepest Bluest (Shark's Fin) - Deep Blue Sea
MY HAT IS LIKE A SHARK'S FIN Suffice to say the shark movie genre has had its fair share of flops, but every now and then a gem is released. First we had Jaws, then not much else until along came the iconic Deep Blue Sea. LL Cool J stars in the movie but, more importantly for a movie music based podcast, provides the movie's signature track: "Deepest Bluest (Shark's Fin)". Dietrich is repeating the same phrase over and over, Alex has subjected himself to the Cats movie and Ben shuts down any PUBG talk. Shallow - A Star Is Born
A BAD ROMANCE "Pffft, all Hollywood is today is sequels and remakes" says your typical I'm-smarter-than-you Redditor. You know what? This week they have a point because we are covering the FOURTH big screen version of A Star Is Born. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper go off the deep end to give us the movie's anthem: "Shallow". Alex brings up Brexit, Ben is not a fan of Kris Kristofferson and Dietrich falls back on the eternal wisdom of Joey Tribbiani. Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod Like, star and subscribe. The Songs of Dumbo
CASEY JR'S BACK! Disney's heart-breaking tale of a cute, big eared elephant with a stylish hat, Dumbo, is our pick this week. Six songs are packed into the just over an hour long movie: "Look Out For Mr Stork", "Casey Jr", "Roustabouts", "Baby Mine", "Pink Elephants on Parade" and "When I See An Elephant Fly". Ben's phone interrupts the podcast, Dietrich is starting to lose his voice and Alex is surprised by the long-awaited return of Bebo. The Songs of The Italian Job (1969)
I'VE GOT A GREAT IDEA... Do you like heist movies? Do you like fast cars? Do you like cockney rhyming slang? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then we have the movie for you. This week we are talking The Italian Job and its two songs: Matt Monro's "On Days Like These" and "Get a Bloomin' Move On" (better known as "The Self-Preservation Society"). Dietrich wants his broken DVD back, Alex enthusiastically shouts "NEIGHBOURS!" and Ben really doesn't want to be referred to as Benny. Love Is All Around - Four Weddings and a Funeral
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY Cupid pops into our virtual podcast studio to join us in our look back at the British romcom Four Weddings and a Funeral. Wet Wet Wet's immensely popular cover of The Troggs' less popular "Love Is All Around" is the movie's signature song. Alex's wife becomes the unexpected star of the podcast, Ben is receiving Yorkshire puddings in the post and Dietrich would rather talk about The Mummy. Eye of the Tiger - Rocky III
I PITY THE FOOL! Back to Sylvester Stallone's greatest franchise for Rocky III, or as it is also known, "The Rocky movie where he fights Mr T". So what's the song this time around? You probably haven't heard of it. It's only this little obscure tie-in song called "Eye of the Tiger". Ben has set his crosshairs set on Margaret Thatcher, Dietrich has a "3 of a Kind" moment and Alex shares a tangerine related supply teacher anecdote. The Songs of Pinocchio
WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR... This week we are poking our elongated noses back into the wonderful world of Walt Disney animated classics. 1940's Pinocchio is the pick, so we'll be covering all the classics: "When You Wish Upon a Star", "I Got No Strings", "Hi-Diddle-Dee-Dee" ...and also some other less notable songs. Dietrich wants to be watching a fireworks display, Alex definitely prefers Flamingo Land to Pleasure Island and Ben's mind goes completely blank. The Songs of Star Trek Beyond
SET PHASERS TO STUN! With help from Captain Kirk, Spock and the rest of the USS Enterprise crew, we are delving deep into Star Trek Beyond. Rihanna provides the official song: "Sledgehammer" but if you are in China, you'll hear Jason Zhang's "Lost in the Stars" instead. Don't remember those songs? Probably because the most memorable song is "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys. Alex is being forced to play bass on Guitar Hero, Ben really wants to be the captain on Deep Space Nine and Dietrich is not Good Omens' biggest fan. Mrs. Robinson - The Graduate
HERE'S TO YOU... Jesus loves you more than you will know if you listen to this week's episode about 1967's The Graduate. The soundtrack might officially state Mrs. Robinson as the song but Simon and Garfunkel have other tracks in this movie which might have a stronger shout at being that song from that movie. Ben has been watching Christmas movies in January, Dietrich finds out the rules for obtaining a 1960s marriage license and Alex only cares the for the very start and the very end of the movie. CHRISTMAS TRIPLE BILL It's our final Christmas episode of 2020 (Boo!) so with that in mind, we are casting our festive eyes over the classic short movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and its signature song "You're a Mean One, Mr Grinch". Is that not enough? Well, you're in luck as we also take a look at the Jim Carrey version for the year 2000 live action remake and the recent Tyler, The Creator version from the 2018 CGI remake. What If - Christmas Carol: The Movie
A NICOLAS CAGE CHRISTMAS We are back with our second Christmas special of the season. When it comes to movie adaptations of A Christmas Carol, we have gone a little bit more obscure but, if you ask Alex, we've gone a little bit better. Kate Winslet begins and ends her music career with the ballad "What If" from the animated Christmas Carol: The Movie. Alex starts the campaign to improve your Christmas playlist, Ben makes charming Hugh Grant noises and Dietrich claims The Wanted's "Glad You Came" has the best bridge in any song ever. The Songs of 2000s James Bond (Part 2)
JAMES BOND: WATERBOY We may not be qualified to explain what a "Quantum of Solace" actually is, but we are qualified to make fun of it. The music comes in the shape of Alicia Keys and Jack White's muddled duet "Another Way to Die".  Then it's time to decide which noughties Bond song is the BEST and WORST. Ben doesn't think Daniel Craig has the raw charisma of Robert Downey Jr, Dietrich uses his worst opening phrase yet and Alex reveals his large knowledge of hard spirits. BYE BROSNAN, HELLO CRAIG No Time to Die being moved to 2021 put a spanner in the works, but we push forward regardless. So here is Part 1 of our look at the James Bond songs of the 00s. Madonna serves up the techno "Die Another Day" from, you guessed it, Die Another Day. Whilst the late, great Chris Cornell belts out "You Know my Name" from Casino Royale. Plus we hear the thoughts of our friends at "Roger Moore's Cubby Hole" and "Spy Hards". The Songs of 101 Dalmatians
CRUELLA DE VIL It's time for for us to delve into the Disney vault and pick out another animated classic, this time in the shape of 1961's 101 Dalmatians. And yes, there is more than one song! The beloved "Cruella De Vil" leads the way, followed by the catchy "Kanine Krunchies" and the less catchy "Dalmatian Plantation". Dietrich is completely hinky-dink, Alex really wants you to know he doesn't like novelty cereal and Ben does a surprisingly decent impression of Roger. Ghostbusters - Ghostbusters
WHO YA GONNA CALL? Happy Halloween! Prepare to get sufficiently spooked by ghosts and ghouls with your friends at That Song From That Movie. So what is our slimy pick? It's Ray Parker Jr's  "Ghostbusters" which, shockingly, is from the legendary comedy movie Ghostbusters. As Time Goes By - Casablanca
PLAY IT, SAM We are jumping all the way back to the 1940s. The world was a little bit occupied with a big international skirmish whilst the cinema was occupied by Michael Curtiz's Casablanca. Dooley Wilson provides the music with "As Time Goes By". Dietrich has absolutely, positively, undeniably seen Casablanca from start to finish (honest), Alex has suffered through the first half of Enola Holmes and Ben is still fretting over answering a pub quiz question wrong many years ago. WITH GREAT POWER... ...comes great responsibility. Next up for our perusal is the big-screen adaptation of everyone's favourite friendly neighbourhood superhero: Spider-Man. I FOUND HIS WEAKNESS The 1990s action continues with our deep dive into the James Bond movies of the decade. Timothy Dalton is out and Pierce Brosnan is in. This episode covers Tina Turner's classic "Goldeneye" and Sheryl Crow's not-so-classic "Tomorrow Never Dies". Dietrich has been stalking Alex in the bushes, Alex is sitting on the floor of the cinema and Ben doesn't get to speak. Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod Like, share and subscribe ...pretty please. How Do I Live - Con Air
PUT THE BUNNY BACK IN THE BOX Do 1990s action movies get any more action-y and any more 90s-y than Nicolas Cage's Con Air? We don't think so. Please obey the seatbelt and no smoking signs as we take a trip to "How Do I Live" by LeAnn Rimes... or is it Trisha Yearwood? Ben wants to know who is in country music superstar Garth Brooks' team of the week, Dietrich gets his birds and monkeys mixed up and Alex has a caravan club floor filler anthems update. (Apologies for Alex's audio quality, he decided to sit in the echoiest room in England.) The Songs of Mulan
LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS To celebrate the release of Disney's live action remake of the animated classic Mulan, we are breaking the formula to review not one, not two, but a whopping four songs in one go: "Honor to Us All", "Reflection", "I'll Make a Man Out of You" and "A Girl Worth Fighting For". We are definitely spoiling you. Alex has not seen Dinosaur, Ben really wants to know what the cricket thinks and Dietrich confirms there's no requirement to rewind DVDs. You Could Be Mine - Terminator 2: Judgement Day
HASTA LA VISTA, BABY Time to tune up the air guitar, backcomb your hair and don the leather jacket, because we are taking our first jump into the wonderful world of heavy metal. Legendary rockers Guns N Roses serve up the not so legendary You Could Be Mine, which acts as the theme song to James Cameron's masterpiece Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Dietrich is using the metric system, Alex is enjoying a croissant with Mickey Mouse and Ben doesn't recall seeing a neck in the cast of Revolutionary Road. 1980s James Bond Songs (Part 2)
DALTON HAS ARRIVED A new James Bond actor is here in the shape of Timothy Dalton, therefore it's only appropriate we pick apart the music from The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill. Once that's done, we decide which 1980s song is the BEST and WORST. Ben has been counting kills, Dietrich ponders the mediocre versus the unremarkable and Alex accidentally pitches a great name for a new Bond movie. 1980s James Bond Songs (Part 1)
DANCE INTO THE FIRE 007 is back and that means it's time cast our eyes over the James Bond songs of the 1980s. In this episode, we break down For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy and A View to a Kill. Alex questions Beanie Feldstein's attempt at a Brummie accent, Ben wants two thirds of a Fab ice lolly and Dietrich reckons we have a song perfectly fit for an "old person boogie".  (Come back next week for Part 2 where we look at the remaining Bond songs from the 1980s and decide which is best and worst.) Bright Eyes - Watership Down
NIGHTMARE FUEL We are truly sorry about any repressed childhood trauma we uncover on this episode. Time for a trip to a nice, pleasant English meadow as we break down Watership Down, the animated movie which is probably not for kids. But there is light in the darkness with Art Garfunkel's "Bright Eyes". Ben is getting sunburned in the shade, Dietrich has a soapy theory on the number of complaints the movie received and Alex has an undeniable fact about Katie Melua. Moon River - Breakfast at Tiffany's
AND I SAID WHAT ABOUT... Next on the agenda is a bonafide Hollywood classic, however some aspects of the movie have not aged well, to put it politely. Get ready for a very expensive morning meal as we discuss "Moon River" from Breakfast At Tiffany's. Alex discusses his parents bedroom, Ben introduces a new segment and Dietrich accidentally prompts a Bruce Forsyth discussion.  Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod Like, share and subscribe to our registry at Tiffany's Please consider leaving us a rating and review if you are enjoying the show. 1970s James Bond Songs (Part 2)
DOUBLE 0 70s And so we come to the end of another decade as we complete our look at the James Bond Songs of the 1970s. This episode, we dissect The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker before deciding which song we think is the best and which is the absolute worst. Ben does a terrible (and potentially libellous) impression of John Barry, Dietrich does a terrible (and potentially libellous) impression of John Barry and Alex, you guessed it, does a terrible (and potentially libellous) impression of John Barry.  Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod You can be loved by liking, sharing and subscribing.

BOND IS BACK We are back with another two part special, this time we moving on a decade to cast our eyes and ears over the James Bond Songs of the 1970s. In this episode, we discuss Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die and The Man With the Golden Gun. Alex is reporting the trends regarding disco record sales for the year ending 1976, Ben is avoiding the pub and Dietrich is contradicting his previous Bond hot takes.  (Come back next week for Part 2 where we look at the remaining Bond songs from the 1970s and decide which is best and worst.) Always Look on the Bright Side of Life - Monty Python's Life of Brian
HE'S NOT THE MESSIAH The movie is considered the standard-bearer of British comedy, with a massively popular tie-in song summing up being British in about 3 and a half minutes. That's right, it's Always Look on the Bright Side of Life from the controversial Monty Python's Life of Brian. Dietrich is struggling to breathe watching Argo, Alex reminisces about his father's VHS tapes and Ben accidentally highlights confusion with the ultimate question of the podcast. Montage - Swiss Army Man
FART NOISES Where do we even start with this one? It's definitely the case that there's nothing else quite like it, but we're not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. We take a ride on Daniel Radcliffe's corpse for our look at "Montage" from the movie Swiss Army Man. Ben is taking us on a tour of his bizarre DVD collection, Dietrich brings up Shrek again and Alex's laptop keeps interrupting.  Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod All we ever needed was a like, share and subscribe

Men in Black - Men in Black
GALAXY DEFENDERS Will Smith was the king of Hollywood in the 1990s and no movie epitomises this more than today's selection. This week we are covering Will Smith's certified jam "Men in Black" which, shockingly, is from the movie Men in Black. Alex is worried about his duty to defend the galaxy, Ben is focusing on Tommy Lee Jones' hands and Dietrich shows uncharacteristic restraint regarding the song from Men in Black 2.  Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod Like, share and subscribe to make Frank the Pug happy.

1960s James Bond Songs (Part 2)
...James Bond In part 2 of our journey through the James Bond songs of the 1960s, we take a look into Nancy Sinatra's effort for You Only Live Twice and the two (greedy!) songs from On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Which ultimately brings us onto the battle to determine, once and for all, which song from the 1960s is the BEST and which stinker is the WORST. Ben auditions for The Pirates of Penzance, Dietrich is fighting a losing battle and Alex is shocked by Roald Dahl's contribution. 1960s James Bond Songs (Part 1)
The name's Bond... To celebrate reaching 10 episodes, we are shaking (not stirring) up the format. Over the next two weeks, we are discussing all of the James Bond songs of the 1960s. In this episode, we look at the songs from Dr No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger and Thunderball. Alex performs Ennio Morricone's version of Goldfinger, Ben has the latest updates on the weather and Dietrich is talking about SpyHard again.  (And come back next week as we complete the rest of the Bond songs from the 1960s, deciding which is the best and the worst.) I'm Shipping Up to Boston - The Departed
I LOST MY LEG! In the immortal words of Ralph Wiggum: "The rat symbolises obviousness!" and, obviously, we'll be showcasing our terrible Boston accents in this week's episode. We're climbing up the top sail with The Dropkick Murphys' "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" from The Departed. Dietrich recounts his Media Studies coursework, Alex has a bone to pick with Scorcese about his portrayal of women and Ben goes full Mark Wahlberg.  Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod Hey you! This week we go the full 15 rounds against "Gonna Fly Now",  the theme song of the ultimate underdog movie Rocky. Ben contemplates the difficulty of crapping thunder, Dietrich gives his review of Temple of Doom and Alex is hiding in his garden.  Follow us on Twitter: @TSFTMpod Like it, share it and subscribe ...it.

Mutt - American Pie
This one time, at band camp... As Jim's dad would say, it's "just a natural and normal thing". We assume the "natural and normal thing" he is referring to is breaking down the use of Blink-182's forgotten hit "Mutt" during that infamous webcam scene from American Pie. Alex loses his spot on the podcast, Ben is placing orders via Alexa and Dietrich does a deep dive on a surfing movie nobody has heard of. I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Armageddon
It's the end of the world.* A huge asteroid is heading for Earth, but don't worry, we have a crack team of astronauts- wait, hang on, make that off-shore diggers - on their way to blow it up. What they don't know is that the power of Steven Tyler's voice during the amazing "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" from Armageddon is already enough to destroy it. Dietrich fulfils his dream of hosting a rollercoaster themed podcast, Alex takes issue with the size comparison of the asteroid and Ben has been reading YouTube comments. We're in detention. Assistant Principal Mr Vernon has called us into the podcast studio on a Saturday to talk about "Don't You (Forget About Me)" from 1980's Brat Pack classic The Breakfast Club.  Alex is definitely not wearing pyjamas, Ben is determined to talk about Baby's Day Out and Dietrich is (justifiably) worried about school shooters. What is That Song from That Movie?
Before we jump straight into the weekly show, we thought it was probably a good idea to have a quick sum up of what the show actually is.
