The Holiday season is upon us and there is no better time to kick back, enjoy a beer, and listen to your favorite podcast. Calgary Brew Review compiled a list of the best breweries in Calgary and Tuck and Ryan had to get Craig (that's right the Trivia Daddy) on to discuss it. We talk all things Calgary beer, where we think the list went wrong, what they got right, and what they got very wrong. Craig was kind enough to give us an insider's perspective and bring an actual educated opinion to the otherwise traditional amateur hour you're used to.

The gang also talks about what they watched in between episodes and just life in general.

Another One! This week Tuck and Ryan start off by giving a huge shout out to their amazing social media manager Kayla and her successful completion of a Half Marathon! Snaps all around Kayla, well done. They also talk Tuck's first camping trips, the trials, the tribulations and which character from podcast history made a surprise visit to save the day. Vacation Friends, Waterton National Park, Pontoon Boats, Hikes, and Straight Up Attempted Murder

This week Tuck and Ryan talk about their most recent vacations (humble brag, they went on vacation). Tuck's was relaxing, Ryan's was not. Tuck celebrated his 8th or 9th anniversary (who's counting) which brings up the topic of anniversary theme gifts, road trip music and a bunch of other random topics.

They also talk about how Matt Damon invented time travel and Ryan went BACK to the theatre to watch The Suicide Squad. After an eventful two weeks since their last episode this week Tuck and Ryan thought it was a good time to catch up. With everything opening back up the guys talk about their latest “old-new” experiences and what they found strangest about getting back to “normal”. We also take some time to shout out listeners and congratulate two pod favorites on an amazing accomplishment!

Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder, the Friend's Reunion, Wrath of Man and an Ask us Anything  They Made It! This week Tuck and Ryan celebrate their One Year Podcast-iversary! To commemorate the occasion the guys asked their Instagram followers to "Ask Them Anything", and they did. After a quick review of what they watched this week, the guys get down and dirty with those questions. While some get deep like "What surprised you about working with each other?" most of them are just dumb fun like "What was your drunkest episode?" or "Recast Die Hard in 2021". Tuck and Ryan had a lot of fun recording, and have had a lot of fun over the year! Thanks for the listens! This week Tuck and Ryan (the dummies) are joined by the very talented Myles Belland, who is an actual filmmaker! We talk about his past experience as a cameraman for various sports teams, his current work and all about his passion for filmmaking. 

Myles was very kind and patient with both Tuck and Ryan; he was even nice enough to offer some tips on how a professional interviews. Overall it was a very fun episode with a super interesting person.

The Blade Trilogy, Vaccinations, Jupiter's Legacy, Mitchells vs the Machines, Without Remorse, Mother's Day, Reternal and some other great movies to watch

This week Tuck and Ryan had some extra days between recordings so they watched a ton of new movies, and some old favorites. They discuss the finer points of the Blade Trilogy, two new recommendations on Amazon Prime and one on Netflix. Tuck also finally found a movie his Dad hates.  

In addition to these great recommendations they discuss their Mother's Day experiences, a surprising home improvement update and Ryan's new video game Reternal. Ryan was also kind enough to educate Tuck on how online gaming works. 

We end the episode with our Top 3 fictional Moms, the first ever Crispy Gem movie recommendation from Tuck that is Ryan approved and a Team Koala update!

The 2021 Academy Awards, Nomadland, Best Pictures, Highest Grossing Films and Biggest Oscar Snubs

This week Tuck and Ryan welcome back on Pod-Lawyer Kane to discuss the 2021 Oscars. The guys talk nominees they have seen and enjoyed this year as well as what they thought about the winners, the losers and the show in general.   

In addition to the 2021 awards Tuck, Ryan and Kane all looked at a list of the best picture winners and the highest grossing films over the last 35 years. This led to a very interesting discussion about which list is better and why, surprisingly no one agreed.  

To finish off the episode the guys do a seamless top three from both lists and recommend some great selections in the Crispy Gems segment.

This week Tuck and Ryan talk about a few things that needed some cleaning up. Ryan has been playing a ton of video games recently so we talk Control the video game, his most recent Destiny raid and some God of War. Tuck tried his best to research the most recent TikTok drama with Jaden, Nessa and Mads so he could keep the listeners informed. Unfortunately he realized mid-way through the research he was officially too old for TikTok. Even though its not all the info trust me you'll get the gist.

Kaiju, Jaegers, Idris Elba, strong female leads, a real live courtroom and did we mention Kaiju! Is Pacific Rim a bad movie?  

This week Tuck and Ryan welcome back our pod-lawyer Kane to take part in the first ever "Tucks Court". Kane, for the prosecution, tries to convince the pod that Pacific Rim is a bad movie. Ryan, for the defense, tells him why he's wrong. Tuck, the judge, does his best to remain impartial, spoiler alert, he's not.    After a very spirited debate about a really fun movie, Kane brings up the topic of a "no-no list" and ethical consumption of media. It is a very good discussion on what the guys are individually comfortable with consuming, and if it is possible to separate the person from the art. Despite the result not being "Ad Idem" the discussion is very good.  We end the episode with some excellent Crispy Gem movie recommendations
