Thank you Oriah Mountain Dreamer and YES, we are living in a time of great challenge AND we are living a time of great change - great possibility. Our world is presenting us with opportunities to be ‘opened by life’s betrayals OR to become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain’. These are the words of Oriah Mountain Dreamer in her poem, ‘The Invitation, where she asks powerful, provocative and revelatory questions that allow for the discernment and discovery of - just how vulnerable and open are we to life? How present are we to the pain we feel, ours or another? How responsible are we for what we create in life? Do we allow our existential fears to cause us to shrink back, try and hide, fix or fade the pain? Or, do we meet the joy, the ecstasy, and the beaty of life, even when it is not pretty, filled with gratitude to be alive, embracing the challenges that fuel our evolution and growth? Whew!

What would happen if we simply paused, said absolutely nothing, did absolutely nothing and listened? What would happen if you took a moment to be fully present to the sacred path of yourself, and the sacred path of another? What would happen if you were fully present to the thoughts that you are thinking, the emotions you are feeling, and with grace, lightness of being and humor shifted your perspective to what’s possible?
