Blue Christmas

Many churches offer a Blue Christmas service as a way to confirm that those who experience grief, loss, and sorrow are welcome within the annual celebration of Christmas. Christmas is not a simple story of joy and light, but it can be easy to forget the complexities of this season. This service was created by Carol Penner, adapted by Michele Rae Rizoli, and read by Peter Haresnape.
