Urban Councils Association of Zimbabwe

This interview focuses on issues to do with service delivery, waste management, maladministration and corruption among others. It highlights how the association handles its day-to-day activities and how it engages the residents on issues to do with budgets and advocacy programs. 

The interview is about the impact of COVID-19 on urban local authorities in terms of service delivery. Local authorities have since adapted and found ways of dealing with the risen crisis in terms of revenue collection. Moving forward local authorities have since made plans to engage the central government for funding and assistance.

Local authorities have been lagging in terms of service delivery and corruption is said to have been rampant.

The interview between UCAZ and ZACC focuses on how the two organizations have come together to help fight the spread of corruption in local authorities and what measures have been put in place to help solve the issue of service delivery. 

It brings about the measures that are and will be put in place moving forward in the fight against corruption and how to enhance service delivery.
