Careers with the European Union

We are joined by Eimear Ni Bhroin Language Affairs Officer with the European Commission; Caoimhe McCarthy Projects Coordinator at European Movement Ireland; and Aidan Carolan Third Secretary at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Each of our guests speaks about their own personal career journey and gives tips for those interested in a career with the EU. 

Twice a year, the Commission offers 5-month paid traineeships in its Directorate-Generals, agencies and bodies. Known as the ‘Blue Book’ traineeships, trainees work all over the European Commission, its services and agencies, mostly in Brussels, but also in Luxembourg and elsewhere across the European Union.
