The education landscape is changing dramatically and the gap between students of color and other underrepresented groups are widening. Each session in the Urban Educators Forum will inform the listener of relevant topics throughout all levels of education by having conversations with outstanding educators and poignant commentaries. All stakeholders will find something meaningful and listeners will have ample opportunities to contribute to the village both on the podcast and social media. Episode 1: A tribute to Dr. Vance and the Young Scholars Program. From the the 1988 - 2002, Dr. Vance ran one the nation biggest and most successful National Science Foundation's Young Scholars Program. He crafted it for the underrepresented groups in STEM and made a lasting impact on hundreds of students through the life of the program. We solute Dr. Vance and the Young Scholars Program with the inaugural episode of UEF.
