Episode 29 - Strokin' Out with UK Mets
It's been far too long but we're back! And as always when we record so rarely, there's lots to discuss:
Favourite moment of 2022 so far, our MVPs, surprisingly good players, Uncle Buck and possible trades.
Plus is the universal DH a good thing, is position players pitching becoming a joke and is it time to reorganise the leagues geographically?
We pack quite a lot into 40 minutes! And we'll be back soon, we promise (maybe).

Episode 28 - Travis Blankenhorn To You All
As the regular season will be over soon, we thought we should finally do a podcast about 2021!
There are lots of highlights and lowlights to discuss, as well as the Mets' trade deadline business, Michael Conforto's current issues and the return of the black jerseys.
Plus the small matter of how people from the UK pronounce certain players' names...

Episode 27 - All Set For 2021!
The 2021 baseball season is finally here and the UK Mets crew are understandably excited!
So excited in fact that Andrew can't even get through the introduction without the excitement spilling over into a podcast in which there is plenty to discuss.
Who has been the Mets' best acquisition who isn't Francisco Lindor? And what holes remain in the roster?
Plus the key question ahead of 2021: Can the Mets win it all this year?
Tracey, Jo, Les and David are on hand to offer their opinions, as well further questions when Andrew's flimsy stock runs dry.
This really could be our year, you know... LETS! GO! METS! #LFGM #LGM
Episode 26 - Talking The Beat with Tim Healey!!
Episode 25 - Chattin' Mets with Bristol City's Jon Lansdown
Tracey, Jo and Andrew are delighted to welcome Bristol City chairman Jon Lansdown to Mets Across The Pod!
They learn how Jon discovered baseball, why he chose the Mets, and there's a remarkable tale of how Jon saw two ball games in one day...
He also tells of his own baseball career, which Mets players are his favourites, and who he'd sign if he were Steve Cohen.
And are Bristol City going to get promoted to the Premier League this season? Find out what he has to say here!
LETS. GO. METS! #LGM
Episode 24 - Cohen, Alderson, Stroman and... Stroganoff?!
There's been a whole baseball season since we last had a podcast. 2020, right?!
Tracey is joined by Jo and Les to discuss the latest news from Mets land.
Not much to talk about, is there?! They give their thoughts on Steve and Alex Cohen, the return of Sandy Alderson, Marcus Stroman's new contract and their wish lists for new players.
Plenty to get your teeth into, in other words. LETS. GO. METS. #LGM #LFGM
Episode 23 - 2020 Predictions!
It's taken longer than anybody would've imagined at the start of the year, but the 2020 baseball season is finally upon us! So what's going to happen?
Andrew is joined by Tracey and David to talk through the Mets' chances of success, if their bullpen has improved, who will be the team's MVP, and which teams will make the World Series.
But more importantly, David gives us his countdown of the top five MLB uniforms. These are the issues which matter in baseball.

Episode 22 - UK Mets meet James Wagner (Part Two)
Tracey, Jo and David are delighted to welcome the New York Times' James Wagner (@ByJamesWagner) to Mets Across The Pod.
Part two of the hour long conversation begins with imagining how it would be to spend your time on Isolation Island with Terry Collins. Not boring!
What does James prefer, National League or American League? What chance does he think there is of the team being sold? What are his favourite team uniforms, and is it - as John Oliver suggested - immoral to support the Yankees? (Hint: Yes it is. But never mind what we think, see what James says).
James also recounts his trip to the London Series last year, his sister's obsession with Pride and Prejudice, and his own fledgling rugby career!
Plenty for you to get your teeth into, in other words. LETS. GO. METS. #LGM #LGFM
Episode 21 - James Wagner Joins The Show (Part One)
Tracey, Jo and David are delighted to welcome the New York Times' James Wagner (@ByJamesWagner) to Mets Across The Pod.
In part one of their hour long conversation, we learn about James' early life and career, and what it's like to have covered both teams in New York. And are they even rivals? James gives his view.
We also find out who he thinks had the better rookie season out of Aaron Judge and Pete Alonso (no contest, surely?), as well as learning how he deals with players in the lockeroom, and the interesting musical recommendations the players make for each other!
Finally, and most importantly, who would everyone want to take to Isolation Island?
We'll be back with part two later in the week. LETS. GO. METS. #LGM #LGFM
Episode 20 - Talkin' to Tim Ryder
It's a very special episode of Mets Across The Pod, as Tracey, Les and David welcome Tim Ryder of Metsmerized and the Simply Amazin' podcast to the show.
Who is his dream podcast guest? Will there be baseball in 2020 and a realignment of the leagues? Who are his favourite Mets past and present, and which current player might make the best manager? Most importantly, which soccer team does his grandmother support? We get the big answers to the biggest of questions.
Tim asks us about baseball in the UK, and we find out the best bar near him to watch a game in. It's even English themed, apparently.
Tim can be found at @TimothyRRyder on Twitter, and at @Metsmerized and @SimplyAmazinPod.

Episode 19 - Beer, Books, Hugs and Hasselhoff
For the first time ever, all five of the gang are on the pod! No idea what has caused them all to be at home at the same time, but they've managed it somehow.
Tracey, Jo, Les, David and Andrew talk about how they're coping without baseball... it turns out it's mostly via alcohol. There's recommendations for beer and Mets books, plus a shout out for the excellent @CosellPA . And should the Metropolitans go back to wearing black jerseys? All this and all the usual nonsense is covered.
LETS. GO. METS. #LGM #LFGM.
Episode 18 - Jed The Unicorn
Tracey, Jo and Andrew are back to discuss all things New York Mets. Do Spring Training results matter? What's up with Jed Lowrie? What about Yoenis Cespedes' love/hate relationship with the media? Should Pete Alonso be the Mets' next captain?
Andrew also tells the tale of his and David's trip to Home Run House in Stratford, and find out what songs the UK Mets Online team would choose to sum up their Mets fandom! You can listen to their choices in full here:

Tracey and Jo are back to talk all of the comings and goings with the Mets! They say bye-bye Beltran, and chat about the new man in charge, Luis Rojas. Tracey talks about her plans for trips to New York this year, while Jo gives an update on her own baseball playing adventures in Bristol! And as always, a word or two on the London Series. Let's Go Mets! #LGM #LFGM
Episode 16 - Beltran, Balls and 2020
Tracey, Jo, David and Andrew get together to discuss their favourite Mets moments from 2019, as well as the appointment of Carlos Beltran and what acquisitions the team needs to make going forward.
They also begrudgingly congratulate the World champion Nats, look ahead to the London Series 2020, and inevitably discuss David's balls. It wouldn't be a UK Mets pod without them.
