Episode 6 - Ed, Ned, Ted and Tomatoes

Episode 6 - Ed, Ned, Ted and Tomatoes

Welcome to Episode 6 of the Ultra Low ISO Club, a podcast with hosts Edward Conde, Jason Konopinski and Michael Bartosek. Each episode we spend time chatting with members of the Ultra Low Iso Club Facebook group and our guest today is Ted Smith. With Ted, we cover our usual broad range of subjects, including holga shark week, plain burgers with tomato and the Ed, Ned, Ted name game! We skirt some dangerous descriptions of baking and photo chemistry approaches and get the low down on chips and tacos! And of course, we chat about Ted's images that were included in the the Kodak 2238 project zine. So grab your copy of the zine and enjoy Ted's descriptions of the images he chose to include. Welcome to ULIC Ted Smith.

Episode 4 - Betsey Karl searches for the Jersey Devil

Welcome to Episode 4 of the Ultra Low ISO Club, a weekly podcast with hosts Edward Conde, Jason Konopinsky and Michael Bartosek.

We spend an hour each week chatting with members of the Ultra Low Iso Club Facebook group, our guest today is Betsey Karl

Betsey chats with us about her amazing camera collection, the Jersey Devil, and unexpectedly following in love with film after picking up a film camera to slowdown and get back to the basics.  She shares her passion for horseshow and sports photography, experiences with Kodak 2238 and color filtration tests, and upcoming plans to shoot slow-bart(aka Kodak 2254) for highschool  football.

So please, sit back and listen in for Betsey's infectious excitment for home film developing and the perfect moment when Ed tries to coax her into hooking the ULIC team up with some Leica R8's, so we can hang with Mike Gutterman of the Negative Positives Podcast.

This week jump right into the conversation with Betsey and meander over a bunch of additional topics including, the blizzarad of 93, hybrid stand development using a combination of rodinal and c-41 chemistry for expired color films, our approaches to editing, and photography vs digital art.  We included some pre-show chatter at the end of the podcast, a brief review of the upcoming 2468 project and a mini announcement of a Mike's upcoming trip to New York City (sept 28-Oct1).  For any listeners in the area, let's meet-up, shoot some slow film and talk shop.  Oh, and at some point an ice cream truck rolls through - you've been warned.

welcome Betsey Karl.
