With roots going back more than 100 years, the Flint Farmers' Market is close to residents' hearts and a must-see attraction in the area. As the market has grown, the Flint & Genesee Chamber has been influential in benefiting the dozens of vendors that operate in the market. As one of the most successful venture in Downtown Flint, the Flint Farmers' Market has someone for everyone and is an important part of Flint's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The second episode of Genesee County Visionaries features John Koegel, President/CEO of Koegel Meats, Inc. An iconic household name in Michigan, Koegels have "served the curved" for more than 100 years with their original polish recipes from 1916. In this episode, John Koegel talks about his father, Albert Koegel, individuals making a difference in Flint's community, and the next steps he would like to see for Flint in the coming years with the Flint & Genesee Chamber.

The first episode of Genesee County Visionaries features Dick Skaff, CEO/President of Skaff Furniture Carpet One. A member of the Flint & Genesee Chamber, Skaff is renowned for its catchy family-orientated TV commercials.
The School of Management (SOM) and Entrepreneurs Society at the University of Michigan-Flint have partnered with the Flint & Genesee Group to launch Genesee County Visionaries. This joint video/podcast series is hosted by Dr. Michael Witt, PharmD, JD, University of Michigan-Flint Lecturer of Business Law and Entrepreneur in Residence.
The first episode discusses the over 100-year-old company’s roots in Michigan and philanthropic activities in the Flint Community. Skaff has raised over $180,000 through their Save and Share program to support local charities, which include the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Carriage Town Ministries, Whaley Children’s Center, and Communities First.
