Unclean & Mostly Sober

I apologize upfront for the excessive use of the "F Bomb" in this episode, even by my standards. I don't know if it was a nervous crutch or what, but if you can get past all the language, this was an important episode for us, as Steve is one of our best friends, and as you've heard in previous episodes, his surprising addiction was one of the main driving factors for us starting this podcast in attempt to learn about addiction, and have these open candid conversations. This is still very fresh for Steve so it wasn't easy for him to come on the show and open up. I just hope I didn't ruin it for people by going a little over the top with the language. 

This week, we interview our mom, Colleen. In this episode we dig into what it was like raising addicts and marrying a recovering addict. For whatever reason, this episode was difficult for us to prepare for, so we apologize if it gets a little off topic, but please take a listen and let us know what you think.  Our first interview. In this 2 part interview with Kelly, we learned more about our sister than ever expected, thanks to her leaving nothing off limits during this conversation. This interview turned out to be quite a roller coaster ride, with some funny stories, some horrifying stories and some genuine emotion. Although we are still getting the hang of this whole podcasting thing, if Kelly's interview is any indication of things to come, this is going to be an interesting journey. 

This is our first episode. Forgive us, we're still trying to get the hang of this. This episode is an introduction to what we hope the UMS podcast will turn into.
