Today, we have a chat with local artist Gin Hurley of Tigersmoon Design (https://www.tigersmoon.com/.)
Gin is a ceramics artist, and we have a bit of a natter about living with Covid-19 as an artist in North Carolina. We chat fire, pottery and what this whole thing means.
Says Gin: "Form is an element in all of my work, a continuation of the duality between form and function. Form can be the simplicity of shape but also the idea that the item has a decorative quality as opposed to a functional use. Forms have changed over time, though with the study of the past we see they hold elements that have not left us. I find inspiration in forms throughout history both utility and cultural (such as symbols)."

Kyree Oliver stumbled into marketing at the age of 21 after leaving a college football scholarship to pursue something he felt was much more impactful. This didn't show up as marketing at first, but rather as a desire to understand people on a deeper level. He spent the years from 19-21 interviewing over 800 people on life, love, money, death, fear and so much more!
Marketing did not come along until he saw one of his older friends struggling with a marketing company that simply did not understand what he or his audience needed in order to grow. Kyree realized quickly that marketing was really just high-level critical thinking on human behavior and patterns. He had honed these EXACT skills over his football career as well as those years of interviews.
In fact, of the roughly $3,000,000 clients have invested in his services they have gotten a return of about $32,000,000. Yes, we are talking millions. Yes, we are talking about your marketing costs being 10% of your profit. Which is exactly where your numbers should be. All because some young kid decided one day that people were MUCH more important to him than metrics.
