The gospel excludes boasting - Romans 3:21-31 Sermon
Boasting is one of the most unattractive characteristics someone can have. In this passage, Paul says that boasting is "excluded". But how does that work? How does the gospel exclude boasting, and what does that mean for how we live?

What's the point of 'being religious'? - Romans 3:1-20 Sermon
Last week we saw that what God really cares about is the heart, rather than outward things - as the Jews of Paul's day were saying. In this sermon, Paul turns to answer an objection: what, then, is the value of being religious at all? What was the point of being Jewish? If all that matters is the heart, what's the point of any of our religious observance?

Are you a hypocritical Christian? - Romans 2:17-29 Sermon
Unfortunately, Christians can be just as judgemental as anybody. In fact, Christians can even be worse than others! In this sermon we look at what we can learn from Paul's critique of the Jews of his day. They thought they were enlightened and perfectly moral because they had the law - but what was really the case?

In this passage, Paul takes aim at judgemental moralists. Christians sometimes have a reputation for being judgemental and moralistic, although these days you can find that kind of attitude everywhere. What is the problem with being judgemental, and how can Christians be different?

The disintegration of godless society - Romans 1:18-32 Sermon
What is the problem with the world today? In this sermon, we look at Paul's hard-hitting explanation of the root problem from Romans 1. The fundamental problem is 'men have forgotten God' - they turn away from him. God then gives us over to our sinful desires, which leads to the decay and degradation of society.
